東京ミュウミュウ is one of the cutest things I have read! Has anyone else out there read it. I know it's basically like a Sailor Moon spinoff but I loved it so much!
And I saw it on 4kids and argh! It was so different from the real japanese version! I was so dissapointed. I mean Zoey? Her name should be Ichigo! and Mark? Come on! Tokyo Mew Mew is so much better in it's original version. They even messed up Kishu's name! It's not Dren.
Not to mention Zoey's pose saying, "Mew Mew style, Mew Mew grace, Mew Mew power, in your face!", also seems to be used in every episode.

And Eliot calls it Mew Metamorphosis not Tranformation. I think that 4 kids messed up so much of the series. And the Katakana is erased form alot of signs in the series. It's very sad.

What about the cat puns?
Anyone want to clue me into them?
"I don't know how, but my landing was purr-fect!"
"Don't worry about meow!"
"Enough about me, how are you feline?"
I think they could have come up with something better than that but it might have been the best they could do.

Removing the cat. Why? I don't know; I fail to see any logic in that, and it's quite an important scene.
Ichigo didn't end her sentences with "Nya~" I admit, that the "Nya" was very cute... But that's something just doesn't work well in English. Characters in anime, catgirls mainly, will end sentences with "Nya" all the time to be cute, just like some cuter characters will overemphasize the word "desu.

I'm not saying we should attack 4 kids for the editing, but If you want to see Tokyo Mew Mew then I would stick to original, because the 4 kids one is not the same.

Tokyo Mew Mew was actually the first manga I ever read. Volume 1's sparkly pink cover got to me. xD; I sort of like the series, but it can give me a headache sometimes--I don't really like Ichigo or Mint. A friend who borrowed the series from me called Ichigo a slut. :B;; But yeah, it's a pretty rad. I loved how the author would draw herself as a hamster. x3

I agree with you on the 4kids thing. When I heard Tokyo Mew Mew was on TV, I was excited to see it~ But then devastatingly disappointed. The voices an dialogue were really annoying, and the names threw me off, too. "Whathefuck, 'Zoey'?! Why is Ichigo's name Zoey now? DD:"

I love Tokyo Mew Mew. I also like the A La Mode too ^_^

I refuse to watch the american version of Tokyo Mew Mew. I like the original. I really do wish that a good company could have gotten the rigths to bring the anime out in it's original format >< I think it is cute how some of the names are food >^o^<

I love Tokyo Mew Mew. Does my screen name give away who my favorite Mew Mew is? My favorite character is Zakuro but I also love Mint and Lettuce.

I have seen the fansubs of the first anime and read all the manga but the last book of A La Mode. While I haven't seen the dub of Tokyo Mew Mew, I did see the transformation for Mint from the dub on youtube and I really like her henshin music in the dub. I love how it changes from classical to a more rock type of song.

Did anyone know that there are 7 Mew Mews actually? Ichigo, Mint, Lettuce, Pudding, Zakuro, Berry and Ringo.

Ringo is from the Tokyo Mew Mew rpg that was made in Japan. She actually doesn't have animal DNA infused with her. She uses a pendant with Mew Aqua to get the same affects of the fusion. Her animal is a penguin and I have been told Ringo means "apple."

@Zakuro- I read about Ringo on the author's sidenote in one of the TMM volumes. :3 But I didn't know she had an animal--I thought she was just going to be some unique apple-based character. xD;

I just reread volumes 1 and 2--I kinda wish that mouse-based character pulled through. >__> I kinda have a feeling her personality would kind of matched Ichigo, but maybe more laid-back.

Yeah Ringo wasn't in the anime but she was in the second part of the mana, in A la Mode.

I wonder who would ahve done her voice if she was in the anime, not to mention what her english name would be. Anyone got ideas?

Eh, for a sparkly catgirl sickeningly sweet series, it's okay.

My only true love has spawned from the creepy, disgusting, and utterly hilarious fanfiction my little brother writes on the subject. xD It's so bad. It''s like Tokyo Mew Mew meets /b/.

Tokyo Mew Mew is actually the series that made me a full-fledged anime fan. And as much as I hate the dub, I never would've learned the series existed if I hadn't seen it.

I love Mint, she's my favourite character. Zakuro comes in a close second, though. And Ichigo/Masaya is actually my favourite pairing, though 95% of the fandom hates it for some reason. :/ I don't even care that much for Ichigo and Masaya... unless they're coupled together. xD;; On the other hand, I can't imagine pairing Mint with ANYONE. >>;; I don't understand why people are so desperate to put her in a relationship.

Erm, anyway, I'm done rambling.

As far as shojou goes Tokyo Mew Mew is one of my favorites. I've never seen the anime, but I love the manga. I would love to cosplay as Ichigo one day.

I've read like, the first 4 manga books. I should buy some more, but my yaoi is more important. The anime sounds crappy and i'm not even gonna bother myself with watching.

I love "Tokyo Mew Mew" and have started on "Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode". Lovely series, and very amusing, if maybe a bit TOO green. But the characters are great :D

The only version I REALLY dislike, though, is the dubbed anime. I always find it sad that dubbers have to keep translating names that are perfectly pronounceable, such as "Mew Ichigo". But other than that, the anime itself is great, although I'll only watch it subbed, to avoid cringing at the names :)

Very cute series, I was a bit afraid of it being a Sailor Moon knock off but the characters really intrigued me (especially Kishu).

i read the english manga and watched the original japanese anime (with subtitles) i watched part of the english version but ichigo seemed really shallow in it. I hate it when english companies change the names of characters in anime, I got very confused once when watching an anime having read the manga and just went "whaaa??"
