Talk about the anime you thought was invisible until you accidentally encountered it!
& if youve seen teh animes, 100 hats off to you. [ Im broke Dx I can afford hats though : D ]

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne was an 'accident'. ^_^ I first learned of it some years ago, when some friends of mine decided to buy the whole thing fansubbed on VHS (yep, you read that right). It was the best accident in the world. Now they're bringing it over here in manga form, and I'm soooo excited!! And I can tell people, "Ha, I know how it ends!" X-D

None of the other 'accidental' animes were really any good. X-P

Uh, Paranoia agent just is never talked about and its good, and Dragon Knights. My friend lent it to me and it was great. Lagoon Engine, that one is almost never heard of either. I love it, especially how it ties in with the other series Sugisaki has written.

Ouran High School Host Club. I was just browsing through user pages on Youtube and found that anime! I started watching episode 9 and it turned out pretty interesting so I started to watch from episode 1 to...the last episode. So sad it ended. T.T It was such a great anime and I loved it. The manga is great too and I'm planning on buying volumes 7 and 8 once 9 comes out. (I want to buy them all together)

Gungrave was such a pleasant surprise for me. I saw ads for it on a fansubbed Trigun DVD and bought it out of curiosity.
It might be more popular now, but when I originally watched it, I had a HELL of a time finding anyone who had heard of it.

The rest of my "special anime" finds are all hentai, found while browsing in the porn store I used to work in, and probably not appropriate conversation here anyway. x3

Tondeburin was a real surprise for me. It looked rather plain at first but the storyline was crazy enough to spark my interest.

It's a magical girl story where the main character meets a little pig from outer space, who can grant her greatest wish of becoming a beautiful heroine. But before granting the wish, there's a catch: She has to turn into a superhero pig using a magical snout and do good deeds which garner her pearls to make that wish come true.

The biggest complication is her crush in school is falling for the mysterious flying pig, and not her real self. ^o^

Was that the poorly alienated Americanized one?

No offense, but that just spoils Naruto. Go catch the Japanese ones subbed : D

Animes I have seen accidentally:

- Inuyasha: when it first came out of Adult Swim, I was moving to my new apartment. I flip on the tv and only watched like 10 minutes of the end. From that, I was so curious since I thought it would be a great series. What do you know, it did ^^

- Rurouni Kenshin: I saw some preview of it in Cartoon Network but I thought it was stupid. So one day when it was on, I was flipping channels and decided to watch it. I was very shock to see that that show is not as bad as I thought it would be ^^

- Elfen Lied: I saw an amv of it in my friend's profile on Gaia and I thought it was sweet to watch. However, I was shock to see many naked people and violence of it. But those type of things does not really bother me much since I love the story line ^^

- 5 centimeter per second: This is a movie broken down into like 3 episodes. I was searching for a nice, heartwarming anime and I stumbled across it. I love it and I am still waiting for the next episode to be download with subs ^^

Other animes I heard of from friends and watched it:

- Naruto
- Onegai Teacher
- Onegai Twins
- Full Moon wo Sagashite
- Fruits basket
- Saiunkoku Monogatari (More like from online finding)
- Ah! my goddess
and many more (nothing is really coming to me XD)

Dude Aline 9!?! I LOVE IT! XD

Well no one I know knows Claymore, Lucky Star, Saikono, or that one...Wandaba style. Yes I know two of those are very chibi while the other two are very serious (or gory in the case of Claymore o.0;)
Oh yeah, Darker Then Black! XD that was a good one. Darker Then Black and Lucky Star are by far my favs <33

And my friend accidentaly found Juvenille Orion and half-price books. Very bishounen, hilarious.

s-CRY-ed

I never heard of it before I saw it. And I was a big anime fan.
It was on adult swim at about 12:30am.

And it wasn't even in English, it was still in Japanese.

I saw part of Alien 9 but it didn't really hold my interest. A lot of anime I've seen though has been that kinda random stuff almost no one has heard about because I make it a habit to go to the anime section and buy random stuff I've never heard of but looks promising.
On top of that, my dad (who has a bigger collection of anime than me) buys anime from a website that has sales where he can get it way cheap (one of the really good sales he got 25 DVD's for $100.) Usually the stuff he gets in those sales is hit or miss, but we've discovered some really great, really funny, or just plain off-the-wall-amusing anime that way.
I do the same thing with manga when I've got the time and often find that some random manga I picked up was made into an anime, also.
If I were to try and list all of them, I'd be here until the end of next week, but my favorite that I found by randomly buying would be the first I ever got, Dragon Half. I still have the tape ^_^ and I've almost wore it out. It's sad it never became a full fledged series (I read somewhere that the producer or someone similar was in jail so he couldn't continue it) but it was still great and the manga was awesome.

Actually I've seen Shinigami no Ballad... Wasn't much of a series, but I saw it.

alien 9 is actually pretty popular, so I was surprized you even listed that as something no one would of seen o.O;

Monster Princess I had heard of but it didn't seem interesting to me, so I didn't watch it.

As for anime I never knew about until I saw it?... Um... Hm... I actually can't recall any anime I watched before hearing about or knowing anything about it o.O;

I think I saw the first episode of Monster Princess.

For me, I stumbled across Heroic Legend of Arislan which is pretty unknown, so I'm trying to spread around the goodness. :D It was pure accident that I discovered it.

Also Sakura Taisen and Haunted Junction were just out of the blue and amazing. So yeah.

Angelic Layer.
One of my favorite anime's by now, and I have made a Dutch website about it, (one of the first!)

I have read the story line in 1 of the few 'about anime and manga' magazines
from holland.
I was very attacted by the idea of 'fighting with dolls, moving them with your mind',
so I tried the first episode and was like woaaa!! :D

I watch Monster Princess ;D Not all that great of a series...

Anyways.... While I was flipping through channel's I stumbled across One Piece. it looksed pretty intresting to me because there I saw lots of action and a girl crying ( Nami ) It was the Arlong Ark. They were showing a flash back of Nami's past, which was pretty intresting and I wanted to watch more so I searched on the Internet for more episodes and end up being hooked, and I still am. I love One Piece xDD

Despite only seeing two episodes of the anime I am about to mention, I thought it was great and can't wait to see more. >w<

KamiChu... it's adorable main character is so... adorable. xD I stumbled across it in Best Buy and then went and googled it... seemed cute, so yea. I've still only seen the first two episodes though. D:

Elwing: OH MY GOSH! I love Angelic Layer. > W<
