I love Pokemon, games, books, toys, you name it.

But lately the number of Pokemon episodes passed 500. That's, in my opinion, just way too much. It gets really redundant too.

Does anyone think the series [anime] should continue? Should it stop?

I don't watch it so I'm not really caring. Anyway, when an anime become too long for me... I just stop watching it, that's all. After all, it's a commercial show and they'll stop when people stop watching it.

Yes. It needs to stop. o_O I miss the good old days when there were only 150 pokemon.... xD

Though, I do know my friend's cousin and all his little friends still watch it all the time. I think those fifth graders are the ones keeping the show running sometimes. xD

It's up to the people that watch it. If there's enough still watching it cause they still love it kudos to them. But yes it has gotten rather...uhm, not the same since the old days.

I agree, it's getting quite old. But that's just me. I stopped watching after the first season because more thought-provoking (and violent) anime sparked my interest more as I grew up.

They could've had better staying power with all audiences if they deviated from the Ash Ketchum arc for good. You know, chronicle the life of another Pokemon Master in the making that would eventually challenge him...

I think Pokemon should have stopped at the first or second season because those seemed to be the best.


Basically continuing the series over again just seems dumb and that it will get old, which it did.

And...Personally..I feel really bad for Ash. D=

He'll never be a Pokemon master with all these new Pokemon popping up! DD=

The way I look at it, there are people who still enjoy it, the games, shows, etc... I know someone my age (I'm 22 by the way) who just went out and bought the latest pokemon games and still downloads episodes before they come to the US. The show is obviously targeted at a much younger audience, but if someone my age is still enjoying it, than they must be doing something right.
Personally, I gave up when I could no longer keep track of the news ones they were adding and haven't watched since, but I even almost watched the latest movie.

I liked about the first couple of seasons of Pokemon, but I no longer watch it. Like a few people before me have said, when a series gets too long, I lost interest, because it's only the producers/directors trying to 'milk the cash cow,' and that makes me angry. Why is Naruto so popular? 'Cause it's got eight million episodes, that's why.

Anyway, back to the subject. Pokemon definitely needs to give it a permanent rest. Ash's new voice annoys me even more than the old one did. X-P My little brother watches the new stuff, and I look at it and think, "Wait, haven't I seen this before?" The answer is yes, I have. The only difference is that they keep cooking up new Pokemon and re-using plot lines to create 'new show.' X-P It makes me wonder: will it EVER stop?

Yes, they should stop. It's an old anime, and even when there are people who enjoy playing the card games and watching it, there are newer and better series that should take place of Pokemon.

I agree with the others that say that Pokemon should've stopped ages ago...*sigh* then again for some reason I keep watching it waiting for it to end, so I guess I might be one of those consumers who is contributing to the problem. ^^;;

What do you mean by stop? do you mean in the US/England? if so then it depends, if it stil lcomes over to here then there must be still a lot of US and English people who still want to watch it so no.

as for at all then no of coruse not its a shounen anime they go on and on.

The first season was the best season.
When I was a kid I loved the episode with Ash , the gengar and the other ghosts episode.That was my favorite, after that came the one where they become dolls or something, then it was the Girls day with dolls and stuff.

I hoped that Ash and Misty would become a pair back then..
Now May's there and ruining (almost) everything.She's the new spot of attention with those beauty contests and such >(
Team rocket was also funny back then, now they're just doing the same thing for the 10000000000th time :x

The pokemon games were/are fun. It's like a RPG game with many diffrent characters...But now it's almost the same thing over again there too :x

The only reason I think it should end is it is the same thing over and over again. I remember when Jesse and James were awesome and now they are simply filler for each redundant episode. It is too repetitive. To continue, they would need to change it up a bit...actually a lot.

YES! The originals were good, but now it's just boring. New characters and new Pokemon just completely take away from the series.

I remember when I first started watching the show back in season 1, and when I saw re-runs of season 1 I realized that back then they really were original >.< I kinda miss originality

i think the pokemon series should stop since like it way too many episode/season. and after the 1st season they cut out Misty my favorite character and that is not fair. they replace her with May and i think she is kind of annoying.

i like the season 1 so much better. it so original so good and they have Misty. ^-^

  But now honestly its really going off to the boring side . I mean why did they have to remove Misty ?? And put in May and that other little kid -.-
  And now its like The english voice for Ash is just horrible and annoying , and don't even let me get started on team rocket. Team rocket is getting kicked out after the say they're little theme TT^TT; Team Rocket was the reason I watched that show xDD
