Its a fairly old manga (okay, really old manga!), and now its damned near impossible to find...I've only barely managed to aquire the first six manga, and while I know the story isn't anywhere near finished I can't find any more of them! Its terrible but I shall be victorious!

Has anyone else read the series at all? Better yet, if you have read it, what do you think of it? Was it good? Bad? Personal opinions? I'd like to hear what you thought of it just please...no spoilers! I know exactly what happens in the manga after researching it a long time ago, but others might not know so lets keep this as spoiler-free as possible, okay?

Also, has anyone ever seen the Basara anime? I know it exists as I have AMVs of it but...I have yet to find it, online or off. Suggestions?

Oh my god.. I love Basara!!! It's one of my all time favorite mangas. I read most of them at the library, I wanted to buy some, but they never had the books I wanted. It's such a fun series, but to be honest I'm not sure if there is an anime. There are a lot of manga old and new that have yet to be made into anime. So, I don't really know about that.. Plus if they did have an anime, I'd probably like the manga better. They tend to add bogus things anime and get rid of some things.

I remember watching the 13 episode anime a long time ago.

Someday if I start making more money I'll buy all the books, lol >,<

I thought it was great. Very original premise!

Basara is fantastic. In fact, everything by Yumi Tamura is fantastic. If you like Basara, try to find Chicago. I think it's the only one of her works that has been officially translated.
