Uta Kata is a 12 episode (13 if you count the OVA, which most do) anime-- and one volume manga-- about Ichika Tachibana's amazing summer experience. After meeting a girl who calls herself Manatsu Kuroki, she sets off to find a number of Djinn, in order to "help her with her summer homework."

It may not sound like much from my mere description, but it truly is.

So, I guess some suggestions for discussion are:

Have you seen this anime, read the manga, or both?
If both, which do you prefer, anima or manga?
Favourite characters, and pretty much any analysis of their minds/personality,
Any random thoughts on the anime,

If you haven't seen, read or heard of it, do you plan on watching or reading it?
Are there certain things that you need to know before diving getting into it?

So... go ahead, discuss! :3

I've seen the anime (minus the OVA :( ) and I must say it was so much more than I expected. It takes a very mature, emotive response to real life issues and in particular self-esteem and self-image. I really enjoyed the interplay between the two, and the depths of their feelings, both inwards and outwards. Manatsu particularly was quite clearly in pain most of the time, in a different way to Ichika.

The whole idea of the djinn was also very appealing, and the fact that each outfit was deisgned by a different anime artist reflected their diversity.
