There are alot of manga out there. Some of us heard of the famous manga like Naruto, Bleach, and Death Note. But there are manga out there who of which title we have never heard of, like DramaCon, Magical x Miracle, Wish, etc.

Since I have not seen any thread yet for this, recommend us, the manga readers, about what is a good read. The ones I recommended are:

DramaCon
Magical x Miracle
Wish

I have volume 1 of Wish.
I should finish it some day D:

I don't really know of any rare ones that are translated and published, maybe Lament of the Lamb, it's horror/drama ish. Or Kodocha! Nobody I meet ever heard of it, but people on forums have ^^; It's one of my ultimate favourites <3 It's comedy/shoujo for those who don't know it, but has some dramatic and sad moments, the anime version made me cry~ ^^;

Humm I have never heard of them. Now that you mentioned it, I wont mind trying to find them. I am hoping to find Vampire Knight. It is a really good shojo manga. I read it in the Shojo Beat magazine, the magazine was over a year ago. I won the magazine in a contest hehe.

I recomnend:
Ultra maniac-it's about the friendship of two girls, one from another world whos a witch, and another who seems like the perfect person. It also deals with the guys they like, both of which I suppose I approve of. It's very cute, sweet, romantic, and funny.

Wallflower- It's funny, dark, a bit romantic. It's just really fun to read <3

Card Captor Sakura: Master of the clow- A continuation of CCS. Very sweet, Lee/sakura stuff...As well as Toya/Yuki..Lol. Um, it's a good read, espcially if you're a fan of the series or clamp.

The devil does exist- By far one of my favorite mangas. It's about a girl who at first has a crush on this guy... (Sorry I'm bad with names).. She ends up losing the love letter she wrote him, and this guy who seems like the devil finds it, and then she has to do whatever he wants. This doesn't last long. The twist is, this guy ends up being her mother's fiancee's son.. Not only that, but she finds herself falling for him. There relationship is tough since their parents are going to get married. It's really funny, sweet, romantic, overall a very good read.

Aria- It's a sweet book. It's about a girl named Akari who wants to become a great ...I forget what it's called. You know in venice, those guys that row those thin boats that look like canoes? It's basically that...It's just really cute.

Pet shop of horrors- A dark comedy like thing. Count D is great.. It has many themes. Basically count D sells pets to people and they look like humans or hybrids. They sign a contract, and if it is broken...Well bad things happen. He becomes friends with this detective guy..Well I think they are friends, maybe more since the detective thought D's sister was hot(And she looks exactly like him, except with a chest). It's very good, the ending is a bit of a surprise... Not great, but not horrible either.

...That's it for now. Lol..It's a lot I know, but I've read a lot of manga ^^

Only a couple really come to the top of my head, but neither of them have been completed.
Ragnarök - The manwha that spawned the popular MMORPG. Ragnarök, the prophesized fall of the gods, is at hand, and the age of man is set to begin. Fenris Fenrir searches for the fallen god Balder's reincarnation to help change the world. However, the ancient gods will not give in so easily and send their elite warriors, the Valkyries, to prevent this change and continue the reign of the Gods.
A nice blend of action, plot, humor and psychotic, sword-wielding villains. xD
Zombie Powder - When the twelve rings of the dead are gathered, one obtains the powerful substance known as "Zombie Powder" which has the power to raise the dead or grant eternal life. Akutabi Gamma, an 'S' class criminal who wields a six-foot chainsaw and has a metal hand, and Elwood, a knife-throwing boy caught in the life of crime, both seek the twelve rings of the dead to bring Elwood's sister back to life, or grant eternal life to the already hard-to-kill Gamma.

These two are top on my list along with FLCL, which might fall into that 'popular manga' list.

Hm....you know, maybe you guys could help me out a bit.

I keep on hearing rave reviews for Black Cat and Reborn.

Black Cat, I've never really picked up yet. I'm up to chapter...11, and I don't really like it too much. D: Please tell me it gets better. One more baby assassin, and I quit.

So.....hm.

Anyone want to recommend me some manga with a decent plotline and gorgeous art? 8D [Examples: I love Bleach, D. Gray-Man, Trinity Blood, Godchild, xxxHolic, Fullmetal Alchemist, Rurouni Kenshin, Fushigi Yuugi, Saiyuki, and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle.]

Rinali, I just recently got into KHR(Reborn!), and I would HIGHLY recommend you keep going with it, unless it just really isn't your thing. I didn't like it very much at first, either. The first few volumes, are honestly, just friggin hilarious, but like most shonen manga, it develops a fairly deep plot and now I just CAN'T STOP reading it 'cause I constantly want to know what'll happen next!! xD;;; But yeah, sorry, the Arcobaleno are there to stay (the babies). I can't say that much without giving spoilers, but it really really gets better. I'm also very fond of the style Akira Amano has developed. <333

Black Cat, I haven't really read much of the manga, but watched most of the anime. From what I remember, it was okay.

Hnnn, so going from your examples, I'm guessing you don't care too much about the genre? For starters, I'd recommend two of Arina Tanemura's series, Full Moon o Sagashite and The Gentlemen's Alliance (Shinshi Doumei Cross). Very shoujo-y, but def. has gorgeous art, and Tanemura is really good with her plotlines. At what may seem to be just a simple romance, as you read more you go deeper and it becomes surprisingly darker.

This post is getting pretty long already, so I'll just give you some more titles xD

Chrono(Chrno) Crusade
+Anima
MeruPuri
Death Note
Matantei Loki Ragnarok
Air Gear (still my absolute favourite |D )
Saiyuki Reload (if you haven't already moved to that)

And with Fushigi Yugi, you might like some of Yuu Watase's other works, like Ayashi no Ceres or Alice the 19th. I can't say much for either since I'm really not a fan of Watase xD;;;

Umm, go ahead and ask about any of the shiz I typed up there if you so like? XD;; I know some more, just that's all that popped into my head for now. x]

I bought Magical x Miracle volume 1 recently. I haven't finished it, but from what I've read it seems really cute and unique so far.

I read a little of DramaCon. Honestly it seems a little dramatic for it's premise (no pun intended).

I haven't read Wish but I've heard it's good. I did hear that in the English version they make the angel a girl :(.

As for my recommendations to you:

Kitchen Princess: A sweet and well-rounded story about an orphan girl who discovers her talent as a genius chef. It's better than it sounds :) I always recommend it to everyone.

Mamotte! Lolipop: Not many people talk about it, but the characters and story are so cute!! It's a mood-lifter and verrrrry addicting.

Full Metal Alchemist is a wonderful anime series, I haven't read much of the manga, but what I have read is pretty cool too. The manga is a lot more plot oriented, while the anime is more about emotions and the characters, but I recommend either one.
Ouran High school Host club is HILARIOUS, and if you like comedy, I recommend it. It kind of makes fun of the typical shoujo anime/manga, and I love it.

That's all I'll write for now, maybe I'll come back later to add more. And I'll probably read through these for some good recommendations.

Legal Drug: Clamp, slash, series discontinued for now but still really awesome.

NANA: It's classified as a girl's manga, but really could be enjoyed by anyone. Story about two girls in the city and ther friendship, I don't know... Alot more interested than what I've described.

Same Cell Organism: Beautiful, Beautiful artwork. Short little stories with some slash.

Under the Glass Moon: Gothic lolita, pretty artwork, story however only released so far in 2 mangas, don't know if they'd be anymore but still really amazing!

Let Dai: It's really really amazing! Slash, but with a few plots going at once. Style progressed a little differently through the series, but it's completely heart warming and emotional.

I really like independent/More unknown mangas <3

Slash = Boy's love.

Dragon Voice
an odd manga, you would think that the subject wouldnt work. but its pulled off very solid.

GTO (great teacher onizuka)
just...an amazing work. though its annoying how he solves everything by being a jerk. but the mangaka pulls it off in a convincing manner

Kodocha
highly recommended. child star growing up.

Alien 9
i can get by with the rip off of scifi creatures from the mangaka. but this is a great story. its what mahou shoujo would be...without the foofy dresses and the magic

Card Captor Sakura
not the typical magic girl. CLAMP really knows how to turn a tired genre around, with their wit and clever style. likable characters and grabbing story

The manhwa Love or Money is short but very cute and original. Its romantic and even though Tokyopop classify it as a Drama I'd personally classify it as a romantic comedy because there's also various bits of humour thrown in...

I'm currently keeping up with:

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles - Tsubasa is a medley, if you will, of various existing + new CLAMP characters ^__^ mainly revolving around Syaoran + Sakura.

Gentlemen's Alliance//Shinshi Doumei Cross - Shinshi Doumei Cross if more of a high school slant. Beautiful artwork by Arina Tanemura (also the author of Full Moon), and the story plot is very cute + interesting ^^.

Paradise Kiss by Ai Yazawa

which came before it, i know i enjoyed it, i actually preferred this to nana.

megatokyo is really cute =). Ouran High School Host Club by Bisco Hatori is really cute and funny. Also Hana Kimi is a good one! I can't remember the person who wrote it thought. And her other one, Sugar Princess is a cutesy type one =P.

Most of the Clamp ones is cute. And i recommend that you read Yume Kira Dream Shoppe =D. it's a good collection of short stories all talking about the dream shoppe. i wouldn't call it a series since it's only one volume xD. Best sad Shojo type is Socrates in Love. It's a definate MUST READ! the novel is a little boring =P

Meru Puri, it's such a cute and romantic series. It's short, 4 volumes, but sweet. <3

It's fantasy, comedy, romance.
