Okay so I only have vol 1 of this manga, but it wasn't hard to get hooked on it at all. Anyone else here have a fondness for it like I do?

How far into the first vol are you?

My friend really liked the series and convinced me to buy all 4 of them. Needless to say, I really love the series. The art is clean and detailed and the story is really good.

Meru Puri is one of my favorite series. Short but sweet. <3

meripuri? is that a shojou manga?
i've heard of it, like just the title, but i never really looked into it.

Lol, to be honest, at first when I got the first volume I wasn't hooked and that was a year ago. It was until just a couple of days before New Years that I decided to go get the next two volumes. Then I fell in love with it and bought the last volume just before New Years as a gift to myself. <333

Well I bought my first volume at a bookfair at school actually and I'm looking for the other three volumes because I just really want them. Then again, every time to go out to book stores to look for them, I get distracted by other mangas and series....xD

I loved the manga. <33 It's a really cute story, but a little too unrealistic on the romance part.. xD;

I was a bit confused at the end though.. where Airi said she was 20, and Aram was 17.. how did he get so old in just a few years when he was just a kid? :/

But.. he wasn't a kid. That was the point. The curse made him look like a kid but in reality he was 17...

My sister got the first volume of that book in Japanese a while ago. It was kind of confusing. Then more recently, she actually bought it in English and I was like, "Oh! So that's why that kid sometimes looks like a kid and sometimes looks like an adult!"

It's really cute, though I've only read the first volume.

Lol, I don't have book fairs anymore. Nope, high school you get none of that stuff where I am. Dx Back in elementary yeah but they only had like one manga and it was Yotsuba&!

I was confused too. But actually (not sure if Shojo beat did it on purpose or not) but she was supposed to be 25. Another girl I met online said that the French version was where she is 25, not 20.

So basically they fastforward 10 years. Midway of the story the fastforward 2 years and a half then after went to the 10 years. :3 Does that clear up for you?

Well... let's say Aram was like, 7 or 8 years old.. and Airi was 17.. if ten years passed by, they'd still have quite a big age difference.. but the manga said she was around 20ish and Aram was 17 or something. :/

[At the beginning of the manga, Aram is 12 and Ari is 15. The curse makes him look 17 when he is in the dark. This was a mistake because the spell was supposed to make him age and die. So the whole manga happens and they do the marriage vow thing. But it's only 5 years later when Aram comes of age that they are officially married. Meaning that Aram is now 17 and Ari is 20.]

^Wait, that's not right! (In white just in case) [He was supposed to be 7 and she was 15. If they fast forward 10 years, then it would be correct if he became 17 and she as 25 because I'm quite sure that she is not 20. The French ver. is different and I'm sure it is correct.

He was on 12 or 13 at the very end of the volume as a bonus chapter. ]

Well... I was going by the Wikipedia article, which being in English is going to be based on the English translation. I don't know which is right but I'm half-tempted to go dig my copy up and re-read it myself to figure it out.

edit: OK. After a little bit of research and reading, I have come up with a possible solution to this problem.

1- On one page, someone who read ths scanlations reports that Aram begins the series at age 7. HOWEVER! In the Shoujo Beat version, he begins at age 10. (Please correct me if I'm wrong... I can't find that particular reference in my copy) Why? Possibly to make the age difference less scandalous for the impressionable child's mind... or some such drivel.

2- When Airi says that she is twenty.. the exact quote is "I'm 20 [cough] years old". It's very likely that all she is doing with that cough is lying about how old she actually is.

And that's about it!

I love it, one of my favorites. I read it and then bought all four books at one. Vampire knight is also good but this one is one of my favorites.

It makes some sense, but not entirely. xDD Oh well, as long as they love each other, nothing else matters. :lol:

I couldn't find the part in my Shoujo Beat version that said his age so I was going by what I was reading online. So he was 7. In that case, Airi was clearly lying about being only 20 at the end of vol.4

We should ask the mangaka about their ages. o: xDDD
