Rurouni Kenshin was one of my first animes. I was in love with RK and Yu Yu Hakusho --- actually, I still am, but yeah. I recorded a bunch of episodes from CN when they showed both shows :D Kurama and Kenshin will always be my favourite boys :D lol
anyway - the manga is better for Kenshin, but I love the anime, despite what my friends think. They believe the anime doesn't do the manga justice. I beg to differ, they did a fantastic job with the anime. One of the better anime's I've seen when comparing it to the original manga. They kept most of the plot and when they had to add filler arcs, they kept them small but made them interesting. (I can't even tell you how much i can't stand the naruto and bleach filler arcs - i can't watch the animes because of them!)
Kenshin was very well done and he's very cute in the anime. The Voice actors, both american and japanese, did a great job :D

OMG! I LOVE RUROUNI KENSHIN! It's my favourite series ever! haha
I watched the whole series online... I think it was on You Tube... but can't do that anymore. At least I finished it.
I never seen the movie, I wish I did and now I have no idea where I can watch it.

I actually never got around to finishing the series (I think I have about 15 episodes to go...) but I highly enjoyed it! I'm a huge Kamatari fan x: (of course not to be confused with katamari haha)

I've only read it. And man do I love it!!!
It's one of the few series where I actually love the main character instead of side characters more.
You cannot help but fall in love with the book, story line, and Kenshin. I hope I can watch the anime and love it too. The concept of the reversed blade intrigues me. This manga sparked my love for blades!!
My second favorite character would be Sojiro because I read a different manga that sparked my love for the real life character he was based off of(okita soshi). Also, his fighting style, of having no emotions, and his background story, is beautiful. I hope he shows up again in the series... but I'm pretty sure he won't.
Other favorite characters includes Saito because I read about his historical character with the same story that had Okita Soshi (Sojiro). I also liked Aoshi.
I agree that the women aren't done well except for Yumi, Shishio's lover. She was admirable.

...wait. o_o They seriously took down the whole series because they feared a cult worshipping Kenshin as a god?! >.> There has to be something more.
Anyway. I love Rurouni Kenshin--I started this series from the very start. I had all 28 manga volumes a decade before they even got to the halfway point in America. D:< Speaking of which, has the 28th volume come out in English yet? Because it's going to be very sad if it hasn't.
I love Kenshin. It's so rare to find a manga where it's more than just hacking away with a sword. There's real skill and technique involved, however unrealistic they may be. I love series like this--Rurouni Kenshin is the only one I can think of off the top of my head that deals with this kind of finesse and talent. ((I'm not counting Battle Club or Battle Vixens because...to me, that's just fist fighting. >.> Not much weaponry involved, from what I've seen))
All the characters are amazing, too. I love Saitou's dry humour, and Aoshi's lack of. You know, this is one of the few mangas that I actually LIKE all the pairings. xD I always wonder what happens with Aoshi and Misao after....seriously, that poor man has to put up with her for the rest of his life. 8D
