It's not impossible. Difficult, yes, but not impossible. Unless you're going for the Angelic Halo, that's pretty close to impossible. I know someone who has been trying to buy one for 4-5 years. She has a pretty good offer. It's going for about 2 billion now.

My girlfriend has an angelic sash, and horns of the demon. The horns I bought her, but she got the sash all on her own. I got Golden Laurels as a donation.

Angelic Halo?? That is really ambitious, two billion gold on gaia I think even with booty grab is close to impossible. I still wouldn't mind having an angelic sash and now I hear they have a nitemare sash as well--- I figured they would do that eventually. I have the heavenly drapes which was an event item I got awhile back from the breakdancing event they had. I'm sure it's going for a pretty penny now adays. I hardly ever get on gaia anymore so I doubt I will ever get the angelic sash. I have about one point five million in pure, but I don't want to sell any of my items that I have accumulated since I have been on gaia-- at least not the donation items that have ever since inflated to sky high prices in the market pklace.

Booty grab really has caused prices to way over inflate, but people play games because posting in the forums hardly gets you anything-- after awhile posting falls off to hardly any gold at all. It really sucks, but I really don't think they care about teh forums so much anymore these days.

I agree, booty grab has added a lot of gold and inflation. Gold being generated out of nowhere, 10k for ten minutes if not more. I played for 5 hours once (no life :sweat: ) and made 300,000 gold. I like the idea of the game, but there should be a cap on it somehow. Though, I understand how people would be upset because they paid real money on an item, and wouldn't want a cap on something they paid for.

I wonder how much the nitemare sash is going for right now. I'm sure it's not cheap either. That's pretty cool though that the Heavenly Drapes-- an event item I got I could get twenty five thousand gold which sounds like a lot but in the whole scheme of things it wouldn't be a lot. I was trying to amass a whole entire hoard of wealth but I eventually got bored with the idea and gave up. I'm checking my mules because I had them spend all the money I had them attain through buying and selling through the market place which was inks that went for a lot. Usually the blue, red, black, and white inks-- the white inks were the most expensive-- that went for a good bit of gold and I could make a considerable profit if a bunch of noobs went on and tried to sell for less since they could easily obtain one or two through daily chance lol. Five hours -- three hundred thousand gaia gold... I think I would be going stir crazy after that long. I have been trying to save up the tickets I have been winning by playing black jack but only have amounted about five thousand of those. I gave them a bunch of ideas of what they could put into the prize joy, but they have not put anything else in it in over three years I think.

I kind of feel bad about the dolphins things because awhile back when they introduced blue glowing gold-- I suggested red glowing gold how it should be worth four times as much-- I'm not sure how much the real red glowing gold is worth but I'm sure it's worth more than the blue glowing gold. As you can see on here I'm amassing wealth. I have about fifty five items which I can wear which is enough for a while. But eventually I need to splurge or donate or wait for new events so I can have some new pixels lol.

At least the elitism on here isn't as noticeable as it was on gaia. All of those other items we are talking about are just mainly status items that's why they are so expensive.

N.Sash is about 200k now. I linked to them, if you click on them in my previous post. I don't really go on Gaia for the wealth. I was a staff member over there for a couple months, up until recently so most of my time was spent assisting the forums. Now, I just kind of hang out and tend to the guild I'm Vice Captain in. Most of my wealth comes from my evolving items. I'm on a quest to collect every EI; I'm about half way through now. Last time I checked, I'm worth approximately 30 million gold.

The dolphin gold is worth 4 gold. Luckily though, they removed Dolphins from Phin Phang so you can't buy them anymore (unless you get them in the marketplace or exchange, you just can't buy with cash anymore). My tank is made of blue starfish (drops green and yellow gold) and gwees, which drop the same. Made about 3.5 mil from my tank so far.

I love how Menewsha doesn't have elitism standards. So what if you have a lot of gold or items, it doesn't make you a better person. We each work for our gold and earn it, questing whatever we want or just to have the gold in case we do decide on something pretty.

I'm really bad about spending my pure as I am on this site-- maybe I will break down and buy the nitemare sash lol. So is true that the staff members who are moderators on gaia got a gold kick back of some sort for volunteering? I thought about spending my gold to start a guild but never actually did. I joined a lot of them but realized it was just too much work to organize and log on a lot to check on the status of my guild. I think I may just log on and play booty grab so I can get some dolphin red gold... hehehehe I know that you can triple your gold you get in some instances which would mean twelve gold a red glowing coin. I raelly like it since I was one of the users who originally had suggested it in the sitefeedback forum. Right now my biggest thing is I wish they would update the fishing and the casino games with new prizes. I think a lot of users would come back for those just to get them or just because they have new items that you don't have to spend \cash on to get other than the monthly gold shop update usually it's monthly I think.

I love the non elitism attitude which is why I will eventually spend my fortune on some really cool donation items they have on here. lol. I think I definitely want the moon sleepy melodies harp they have as a donation item on here lol. I kind of wished they had items you could get by amassing points from the game or some other currecny like gaia had with tickets menewsha could do someting else to get other items. But their pixelists is already working on other items so they cannot split their resources I guess.

Moderators aren't paid, per se, as in given cash or items as payment. However, there is a small (and I mean SMALL) gold given, but with all of Gaia it is activity based. The more you do, the more gold you get. However, playing a game of booty grab gets you more gold than doing staff work.

The guild isn't so bad, but my guild is pretty active. At least, until recently. It's been slow lately, and we're trying to get the activity back up. There's 6,079 users in the guild right now.

I've never heard of tripling the gold? Unless, you get the gold powerup from the game to temporarily increase the gold in the game. If you mean a script of some sort...don't use it. That's against the rules, and will get you banned.

I agree, I would like a game shop update. There was a Salon update this month, but new items in Prize & Joy would be nice.

I started on gaia at the end of 03 and i really loved it then, and i was pretty active for a good 2 or 3 years but when they started to add all the new things like towns, and houses, and then cars and so on it just started to become to much and all the newbs! ha It was to overwhelming for me and i lost interest. Now all i really want to do it sell all my items to buy art with but selling it takes quite awhile.

Actually when I said triple amount of gold I was talking about sometimes you can get lucky and get two gold power ups and get a triple amount. I don't know how to use scripts and even if I did, I definitely know that is against the gaia rules.

A salon update? I might have to log in and check it out. I like the pony tail hairstyle on this site, I have a similar style on gaia but I don't like it as much as I like the one on this site. I haven't changed that hairstyle that my avatar has since I first had my hair when I started in two thousand and four at the end. I play games on Mene just about every day too. I hope they up the gold game cap up to three hundred or even four hundred.

It's not too hard to make gold on here if you are an active user, but usually after about six to ten good post, I usually get spent on this site and have to take a break. I may decide to suggest a casino, but I'm afraid that I would get flamed by users saying " Oh this would make it too much like gaia". lol

I still have 3 accounts. Been there since 2003 but I'm not as active. Most of the games /events are kinda lame as of late. The last good one was when they had a giant water fight.

A long time ago I had suggested a mining for gems game which a lot of users liked quite a bit but nothing ever came of it. The petition sub-forum became basically a place where only a few suggestions and petiions actually got any attention.

I heard they're working on a new game, Dumpster Diving or something. Where users can go searching for items people have trashed from their inventories.

Not sure how it's going to work out, or when it will come out, but it sounds fun.

I actually just thought something. How in God's name do they moderate the forums on Gaia......I think I'd want to strangle someone if I thought I had to go through all those posts. I'd actually demand to get paid to do that...lol

Where did you hear that from? That sounds pretty intereseting. I doubt any of the items would be worth anything. I'm sure it would be a places where noobs would go and collect free items. I really wished they would update the fishing game and the tickets prize joy. I suggested a shit load of items that would have really have been cool, like an outfit that would match the jester hats and wands. The problem with that site is that they are so focussed on sponsorers money and advertising money and also cash shop item that they really neglect just about all the free features but make gold shop items or they know there would be a huge out cry and the users would back lash against them. People who donate may quit donating all together.
By the way I can believe how fast the nitemare sash has risen in price, once I saw it, I knew it would not take long at all for it to rasie in prices at all. I'm kind of thinking about buying five of them and just waiting for them to continue to go up in price, because I know they will.

@Sess ~ If I had to moderate the gaian forums, I would be banning all kinds of noobs. I know I would lose my patience, especially in the chatterbox. That place is a hopeless cause. I have heard horror stories from previous moderators that they had back logs of hundreds of reports that needed to be investigated that are in a cue.

It's possible. I know, I was part of the staff over there for a couple months, up until recently. Users send thousands of reports a day, which all must be handled. Thankfully, there are several dedicated Gaians who go out of their way to report violations for the moderators to handle.

Ah, but you can't ban without cause. And really, the Chatterbox isn't THAT bad. I FA'ed in there, moving achievement threads out and into the actual Achievement forum. There is a huge backlog, which is why they need more moderators.

I noticed this new achievement thing going on and I really don't understand why they have it now? What's it do? I wouldn't ban I would just be giving out all kinds of warnings. When I was on it there was a lot of rude people on there. Some of the threads were horrible.

Well you can earn 50K playing booty grab in thirty minutes if you're really good actually it would bea bout an hour. Buy and re sell. Do lots of quest and play fishing and collect bugs and sell. Trust me you can make that. It's not impossible as long as they are not cash items and constantly go up in price otherwise you will have to stay on and keep playing. It takes awhile but you could probaly do it. I have complete faith in you lol.

The angelic sash I believe was the counter part for that item that month. I'm not sure if it is an 03 or an 04 item. Those items were the best, in my humble opinion.

It used to be so hard to earn gold on that site that it was ridiculous.
