I've seen on Mene a lot of smack on gaia (I'm currently on gaia on google chrome while this is on firefox) I looked on gaia and there is NO bad talk about Mene on it... so don't you think it's a bit wrong?

I "quit" gaia, as in I decided to only go on there a couple times a month. Gaia had become my second life, I almost never went a day without logging on. I would stay logged on for hours if I were home. I think I'm going to go back to that original set-up of going on Gaia day to day. It gets quite boring without it. My username on gaia is peanut butter randomness so add me if you want to talk to me. If you're going to add me and not talk to me, don't bother, I only want to add people if they'll talk to me. But other wise, go for it. =3

If I remember correctly Gaia does not actually allow their users to talk about other sites similar to Gaia. Like.. I think it's in the rules.

-shrugs- I convert all my Gaia friends to Mene. Granted I only have two Gaian friends >.>;

I have two Gaia accounts, my main and my mule.
My fish on my main long since died off, I'm sure.
I haven't been on in months. Should I bother with it anymore?

Gaia was pretty fun when I first started, but after I quit and came back after around a year or so, everything changed and I found that it was pretty much impossible to make (a fair amount of) gold without having to use/buy gaia cash. >__>
A lot of the somewhat nice items are cash shop items, and since I can't afford any cash cards, and with little to no gold to buy the items (due to intense inflation), I was left with outdated items that I didn't particularly like anymore.
I sort of miss going on Gaia now, I just don't see the fun in it like I used to. :(

I actually came here from Gaia today, and I actually prefer this forum now because I like the gold-earning method way better than Gaia's "Earn 4 gold every few posts"

MCR; On Gaia, there's some smack about Mene, especially with more trolls
flowing in from Gaia to here.. XD Many of us have our own personal
reasons to talk "smack" about Gaia. It's because we "been there, done that", and don't like it. ;x

I'm still on Gaia, and I don't understand most of the hate.
While I admit you can't get your spendable gold from posting, there are other methods of getting it.
And yes, a lot of the community is underage spoiled brats, if you can find a select group of friends, it will be worth it.
I'm actually very impressed by Mene for having this forum. Every other site I know discourages talk of other sites.

I had an account on Gaia. I also had 8 mules.
I was an exchanger so I had a nice stock pile of gold.
The reason I quit was because it was getting boring and all my friends left.

I have been a gaia member since 04, I still get on gaia because I have a lot friends that play with me on Maplestory. I only know a couple on here that play Maplestory. We started a gaia guild on Maple on the Windia server.

I'm rather indifferent to it.
I like it a lot back in 07 at first but I kinda got sick of it after a while. There's some great people on there, but there's a lot of total jerks too.. and unfortunately, I see a lot more jerks in forums than nice people, which is disappointing.

I've been a Gaia user since Jan 2006. I too have seen fads come and go, but sometimes, funny stuff does happen there, you just have to know where to look. Anyway, I mostly go there to play Monster Galaxy nowadays. I know I can log on from Facebook, but it's just a bit better to play it on Gaia. Not to mention they have awesome montly items for October 2011. I got my Black Widow right away!

Update... I've been on Gaia a lot again recently. And yes, I even ended up doing the cash thing again... ^^;;; I'm having a pretty fun time, making most of my gold through an art shop.

Gaia Online is horrible and the people on there are horrible. That's all I gotta say about that site.

I only use it to dress up my avatar actually. It's got a HUGE array of different items, and most of the items I use are Gold Shop items. But I prefer this site when I want to chat. x3

I like gaia, but I never use it to talk to people since most of the users are trolls and illiterate adolescents. I mostly just play zOMG, honestly...

one thing i've noticed between Gaia and Mene.. people on Mene JUMP to help others.. and on gaia pft.. pipe dreasm.. i have 2 gaia accounts.

I've been on Gaia since August of 2OO3 and I love it. Gaia will always have a special place in my heart when it comes to the online foruming world. Naturally like many other Menewshans, I grew older and got tired of the bratty kids, the overpriced items, the constant pouring of new "cash" items and the lack of being able to properly quest. While I have most of the items from 2OO3 - 2O1O, I couldn't even start to name any of the new items, the new systems on that site. It's incredible how crazy that place is. BUT, in the end when I want to build myself a new profile or go find old friends that don't come on Mene, it's a nice place to sit back and relax. You can find a lot of very talented artists there too :)

Mene is more for those of us that want a great avatar site, with amazing items and amazing people. None of the troll/n00b chatterboxers, mennie items are not over priced and aren't released every hour. I love this place [heart]
