I was wondering how many of you guys were previously on gaia online and what you think about it.

I understand that it can be really childish and I still love Menewsha more...but does anyone still like gaia?

Tell us of your experience with gaia and if you still use it, maybe give us a bio of a rp character you used on it or tell us something that frustrated you about it.

Do you feel it is a good site that's fun and productive for people starting out with MMORPG games?

sorry sweet pea, theres already like 3 topics about Gaia Online, If you go to the Community Discussion section, theres a mini topic for Community Sites Discussion, and there you'll find plenty about Gaia. ^.^

The search bar for forums is totally stupid then.....I typed in gaia and it turned nothing up, but come to think of it it hardly turns up anything that is in Forums. It's so fricken annoying T.T I just wanna give up posting in forums...all my thread have to end up getting moved >.<"

don't feel bad Aura, you'll get the hang of it. It's pretty simple once you get used to it.

I have been having problems with Gaia recently. I can't see ANYONE's avatar. I tried everything from clearing my cache and updating my browser but nothing has worked so far.

I agree with you, I hate the smack talking but I think Mene has a better gold earning system...it seems easier to get gold on this site as long as you're a good writer (some aren't so that might intimidate)

I had to do some... uh... Adjustments to my computer to see Gaia avatars properly.

I originally started out on Gaia in January 2006, but since a certain item came out, I abandoned my original account ~but took my friends with me<3~ and started a new one with a new name. itty bitty north kitty. It's my way of saying North Kitten Star. Since the item came out in winter of 2009, I've been..some-what obsessed with it. I currently own a full set of the darling North Kitten Stars; 7. ^^ <3 My obsession had gone so far that I even turned my avi base into a North Kitten Star. @[email protected] <3

I've been on Gaia for 9 years. Seen people come and go. Made friends and enemies. As for loving it not sure since it was my first site with avatars you can dress up.

I BARELY JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT GAIA DIDNT QUITE GET IT

I just started playing ZOMG again on Gaia. It's not awful, not amazing, but it's a good time waster. I just wish that you didn't have to crew with other people in order to get through certain quests. Dealing with the typical Gaia users means that I've stalled at 10.0 CL and haven't explored the Shallow Seas or DMS very much. [lol]

Although today, I did finally manage to make an avatar that didn't look like a smooshed disaster!

I'm semi-happy with the one. Once I save up enough gold to buy a leg mod, it'll look even better. [lol]

I have mixed feelings on Gaia. The games are fun and all, not the best things ever but fun, and the forums are a lot more active than any other site I visit...

But they're spammy and full of jerkasses.

I like being allowed to join group RPs with Cloud with cute avatars without having to do weird things to keep from looking like a couple of cheaters, but it's near impossible to find a good one and you don't get noticed starting your own if you don't cover your posts with pretty irrelevant images. And then there's the length requirement in most of them. I'm sorry, but no, I am NOT going to write five paragraphs when all I'm supposed to be doing is ANSWERING WHERE MY CHARACTER IS FROM. The hell do you want from me in that case? Purple prose is NOT good!

And then there's their Halloween event this year...I am really not fond of it. Yay, a spammy forum, the worst Fruit Ninja clone I've ever played, and a divisive two-team system to encourage bullying and other jackassery! That's AWESOME! [/sarcasm]

But despite all the negative, I don't really hate it. I'd like to get an avatar together there that I like...only problem is everything is way too expensive. [gonk]

I have been a member of GaiaOnline since late 2008 and I am still a very active member.
(Known as Winter Hue on that site as well) I am active in the following sections of the site:
Gaia Community Discussion, Site Feedback, Avatar Talk, and various Guilds.

On the site I am most known for posting Evolving Item Fanthreads and RIG (Random Item Generator) Lists.
However I mainly use for the avatar system. I love to collect items and dressup. Due to my love of the items
and my involvement in the GCD and SF, I do occassionally bump into the site artists to point out glitches or
make item suggestions. This has allowed me to become more acquainted to the site and the role the artists play.

I've been an active member of Gaia since 2005. It took me a while to find my place there, but I've grown to appreciate Site Feedback and Gaia Community Discussion. I've met a lot of interesting users, including Winter, who I've become friends with.

Gaia isn't so bad, honestly. Despite the bad rap it receives, there are some pretty awesome places to visit and users to talk to. You really have to have a thick skin there because users will express their disappointment and pleasure for the site in the most raw words that can be expressed.

I wish some things changed, like the RIG system. I love they release so many items, but the odds are just... ugh. Lawls.

Now I have to go through the whole sending ticket thingy... not sure what is their efficiency in this area.

It's pretty quick. You file the ticket, answer a few questions about your account and you can get it back in a week or so.

Well... Gaia's 10 Year Anniversary event is going on. Honestly, this throwback to the old school days is pretty awesome. /nostalgic

I went back on Gaia yesterday to lurk the art shops. So much talent. ;___; Makes me wish they would all come on Mene too. But oh my goodness, it's like in the 5 years I've been gone everyone on Gaia turned into Edgy McQueenster. It's like tumblr gone wrong on there.

Ah, Gaia. I remember it back in the old days. Now I just log in to see if the guilds I have any interest in have updated. And to get free gold.
