How long have you been playing video games, casual or hardcore, or somewhere in the middle?
when you first started, what was your favorite(s)?

Personally, I adored Fur Fighters: Viggo's Revenge for the Dreamcast. I also loved Catz 5 for the PC. There were others, but those were my top 2.

I been playing games since for ever.
The first game I played i would have to say is wresting Games.
I got into fight video games, like Mortal Kombat.
I would have to say I'm a big fan of action video games. Like Grand theft auto, played all beat all. or saints row.
I also love Sims I am a huge fan of Sims.
Sims Three is super great.

I know right? I play Sims 3 ALL the time. I've been a Sims fan since it first came out on the PC.

Same here, I personally think Sims is the best PC game.

Mario Kart for N64. Then when the Gamecube came out, it was Super Smash Brothers. :)

I liked Super Mario World. :)

Anyway my favorite games when I was little, were probably the very first Zelda for Nintendo(just Nintendo) annnnnd Mario Bros/Duck Hunt...those games were freaking awesome.

My favorite video game when I was younger ( and is still my favorite video game of course) , would be Final Fantasy VII(seven, for those who don't know their numbers...in...whatever language that is...xD) because it was the first game I've ever played, and I really like the characters(as you can tell by my user name...lol xD)

My favourite game as a wee kid was a Crash Bandicoot, or maybe Abes Oddyssee...
It soon turned into metal gear solid.
I used to have an Amiga. With about 700 games. I still have a few, but I use an emulator to play them cause my amiga got smashed by hammers one fatefull day. T_T
My favourite game of all time is MGS3. its kinda impossible to get a better game than that I think.

My favorite game when I was younger was Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I played the heck out of that game. I beat it at least twenty times and spent hours just running around and exploring the world. It's sad that there aren't a lot of games I do that with anymore. I love noticing all the little things.

There was this one game on Nintendo. I can't remember the name. I saw the name once recently, but I forgot it almost immediately. It's that game that's full of mini games and to play it, you use that super nintendo bazooka-like giant scope.
I was never very good at it since I was so small for that giant controller xD

When I was a kid, my favorite games were Super Mario World and Mario 64. I didn't own any games, but I got to play at my grandpa's house, or at friends' parties or something.

When I finally saved up enough to buy myself an old used gameboy when I was 11, my favorite games were Pokemon Red and Crystal. ^^;

As a teenager I got hooked on PS2/PS1 RPGs (which I still love to death), but now I can't stop playing my DS. Heehee, I guess I'm really a Nintendo kid at heart.

I started playing them as a little kid, but didn't turn into a hardcore dweeby gamer until I got my own PS2.
I barely remember much of my younger gaming days, but I know I loved Monster Rancher 3.
I don't remember if it was for the PSX, or PS2, but I do recall my little pink penguin thing dying, and never getting over it. ;-;

I also liked Banjo Tooie, but only if my brother was playing it.

The first ever Sonic the hedgehog game was one that i played alot when i was young but my favrite 2 player was Super Smash Bros for the nintendo 64 xD

Oh man.....Duck Hunt was the instant favorite as a child.
Afterwards, I got into Super Smash Brothers, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Castlevania, Pokemon Stadium, and a few others.
I would say I'm a hardcore gamer, but I still love the occasional casual game.
Chuzzle, Bejewled, Peggle, and Plants Vs. Zombies are my fave casual games at the moment.
I play a few MMO's here and there, and I don't terribly hate a couple cutesy casual games once in a while, but that doesn't mean I don't play games like Left 4 Dead, Halo, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Assassin's Creed, Last Remnant.....TONS of others.

The two most memorable games for me as a kid (which was a *cough* rather long time ago) have to be Zork and Ultima IV.. I played the first on my dad's Kaypro, and the latter on my very own Commodore 64.. LOL

Zork was a text based game, no graphics, where you just typed in what you wanted to do.. it had a creepy story with an empty old house, a dam, a scary dark cave where I always managed to get eaten by this monster called a grue. *shudder* I think the fact that there were no pictures made it all the more engrossing.

Ultima IV was an adventure game in which you had to master virtues and collect a series of artifacts to "win" .. It was neat because the world was huge and there were people who could "talk" to you and were always doing things to test or trick you, and the game kept track of all your deeds. It had crappy graphics by today's standards and was rather buggy, but I loved it so. :heart:

the Mortal Kombat, Street fighter, and Sonic games were my favorites when I was young. Sonic will always be a nostalgic classic for me. =3

When I was 6, I was in love with Pokemon, Spyro The Dragon, and Grand Theft Auto.. ><

I know Gta is the odd one out, but I loved it from such a young age because my brother used to play it, and he'd let me play sometimes.

I also liked Sims, and Spiderman.

My favourite game and I think one of the first games I ever played, was Pokemon. xD My friends and I played it all day long..ah good memories.

I grew up playing them, but the one series I loved when I was little (Before they ruined it) was Spyro the Dragon~
