I agree with most of these recommendations -- one game that I would add that is inexpensive (Amazon sells it new for around 15 bucks) is Dragonquest Heroes: Rocket Slime. It's a very cute game with a zany story and simple/fun play.. I've played through it a couple times now -- it's one of my all time favorite DS games.
Oh, the Lego games are pretty good on the DS.. I think Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is my favorite one of those. Edit: Like Some Random Randomness I'm currently playing The World Ends with You and Kingdom Hearts 358/2.. I too find myself playing WEWY more -- maybe because it moves faster, or because it's just plain quirky and strange and I like it. :D I play it late at night with headphones on until my eyes hurt too much to continue. Lol. Alllsssooo.. the new Prof. Layton game is very nice. It seems like they added more variety to the puzzles, and there are some fun minigames involving collecting and/or recipes (you can make tea!). |
the taiko series for DS (japanese running tittle, its a rythme game)
scribblenauts Kingdom hearts 365/2 Phoenix Wright games trauma center games, mario kart (hmm anyone?) metriod prime hunters was fun GTA china town wars the pokemon games are always good for a month or so :) and finally i am really really REALLY excited for " Phantasy star 0" this is a new MMO for the DS! oh and how can i forget the final fantasy crystal chronicle games, or FF games in general |
Pokemon Platinum
Animal Crossing Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Disgaea DS Final Fantasy Tactics a2 Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Those are the ones I own/have played that I've liked so far.: ) I hope to play/get more games soon! |
Also jumping on the Phoenix Wright bandwagon here XD
I enjoy the games I picked up in Japan, though they are not out in the US for the most part. Jump Ultimate Stars is lots of fun, and I also really like Sangokushi Taisen DS in spite of it having maybe too much information to properly convey in the DS size. I'd like to get Sangokushi Taisen Ten, but it was new and like, sixtybux when I was in Japan last year ^^; One of my first DS games was Rune Factory. I will just say that it is impossible to have a bad day when you are running your chibi self around your little farm picking adorably large vegetables. And my favorite DS time killer has to be Meteos. It's like Tetris only more addictive. Friends and I had some epic versus-mode battles, but it is also fun to play on my own, too. I have not played FFT: a2, but I would like to, as soon as I finish the FFT port on my PSP. I also really want to get the DS Valkyrie Profile. |
oh yeah totally forgot,
animal crossing wild world and the world ends with you! those two are flat out amazing |
i have several pokemon games for my DS. i know it's kinda childish for a 19 year old, but its just sooo much fun!!! i also have the Naruto: Path of the Ninja games. those are fun, but too short for my taste. i also have Sonic Rush, which is a lot of fun. i still haven't fully won it yet. with both Sonic and Blaze, i have yet to beat the last battle, but i have very good scores on every other level.

Binka, I'm 28, yet I'm having a great time playing Mystery Dungeon. :D
I've been enjoying the Pokemon games ever since the first one came out. Even though they have this incredibly simple system and terribly linear stories, they are still just simply a lot of fun to play. Guess I'll never grow bored of them. |
I only have The Dragon Quest games for the DS. I have Dragon Quest IV and V which I adore so much. My only wish is that they would have done them as well as they did part VIII. Other than that I haven't played many games on the DS that really tickle my fancy.
Other than Final Fantasy IV and III. |
If you're a fan of Pokemon, get Platinum. Diamond and Pearl are good choices too. XD
I also recommend Kirby Superstart Ultra. SO MUCH FUN. My childhood sings to this game. Warioware Touched is also extremely fun. o_o; I miss playing that game... |
Animal Crossing DS is the reason why I went out and purchased a DS system. I loved the game. So relaxes. So calming. Brain Age ain't bad either. i feel so smart after playing it |
