Which is your favorite survival horror game?
For me:
Silent Hill -
The game play and original storylines is what really gets me into this game. The thing about it that I really love is that you can put yourself into the body of the charatcers. In such a fantastic crazy scenerio you can relate to what there feeling and how they react, and there fight or flight sense of beating something horrifying to death with a blunt intstrument.
I love the music, graphics, monsters, pretty much everything. It does have its faults though. The controls are a little hard to get used to if your not familiar with the game and some of the puzzles are confusing if you don't investigate the whole area before hand. ( HATED...the end puzzle in 5. JESUS CAKES. Dx )
Ive always found silent hill to be a lot more exciting then resident evil. The scare factor is super high and its not a "AHDURRRR slow moving zombie" type bull.
I also hate the new mexican zombies in resident evil...um wtf honestly.
Resident Evil -
Ill give resident evil some credit. The graphics in the game since the original ones have always been a little better than the rest out there. They had a lot of pop up at you scare factors to it which always got me.
There monsters are very classic in the sense you will always associate them with the game. The music along with the scenery really puts into the mood that the game was hoping for.
I dont care for the controls, the save points, the shooting, the puzzles.
Pretty much everything. xD Im biased I suppose, but I was never able to really enjoy resident evil. I found myself getting annoyed and hating it, but continuing just because I cant stop what I start.
The storyling was amazing for this game, but the monsters were a huge let down for me. Slow moving moaning things.
Then I suppose they tried to up the anty in 4 and 5 and made them crazy infected mexicans? Didnt get it. Didnt like it.
The co-op playing in 5 was fun but still not enough to keep me interested in the game. Like I said. The graphics for resident evil are amazing, but for me it doesnt make up for a lack of content.
I made this topic because in real life im always getting into arguments with my friends about which is better. Not saying its a competition but die hard resident evil fans will fight for that game til the end. = w=;;;
If you've played neither game....then this topic really isnt for you is it? Also if you've only played one. EXPAND YOUR MINDS PEOPLE.
