Ahh yea, that's the other item. I want to get my hands on a Power Brace too. I only recently found a list of EV enhancing items so I've been looking into where I can find them.
Apparently I can get I think a Macho brace? At goldenrod. A machoke I can trade for holds it or something. So I'm working on what I need for that trade now.

Shoot for a power anklet for your second item. Then a power lens for your third.
You can make great attacking pokemon that way. The other items are only good if you are looking to make tanks and wall pokemon (like the steelix I just made Hata).
I'm using a Tyrannitar and a Nidoking that are trained as physical attackers in the battle frontier right now and nothing can touch them. They are both faster and stronger than any competeition.

I see. So attack and speed work well together? I want to go for attack pokemon. There are some in my party that are only good with special attack like my Alakazam and Gengar. I'm not sure what to do with them now.

Not really. The benefits will always be there. Even after it goes away, he will still get EVs at double speed. He just can't pass it on to any other pokemon once it is "cured".

You can tell a pokemon that has had pokerus by a little smiley face to the left of the picture of the pokemon on the status screen. :)

Well once a pokemon has gotten Pokerus it will always have the EV boosting stat effect up until you max it.

This is on Platinum, and I will warn you it is long and tedious. It goes much faster if you double team it though. Edgar and I were doing that with great success. Of course all our pokemon are pretty beefed up with being EV/IV trained.

Sadly, I don't think we'd win at competitive battling. My pokemon aren't set up for that.

I have a couple that would hold up in a legit battle. I have a classic porygon-z that I am especially proud of.

The cost of those items is in "battle points" After you win a bunch of battles in battle frontier, you get battle points (BP).
You don't get much and 16 is quite a bit.

The most you can win in any given battle on single player is I want to say 20, BUT that is after fighting the leader of that section which takes several wins to do. Usually 4 or 5 is the max for a game with 7 battles you have to win in a row. :o

Yep. There's 6 different types though, one for each stat. As I said it's 16 bp a piece, so you'd need 96. I was going to get a full set myself but I gave Edgar the last 3 he needed for his set since he's been helping me with my breeding.
