hmm, well, I can't really say I left gaia for mene... all in all I've lost love for gaia because of how it's changed and I'm not really active there, but mene hasn't really impacted my opinion of gaia.

That said, I do like mene. The art here is cute, creative and quirky... and different, it's very different from the sort of style I work in, and a lot of the time I've spent on non-gaia avatar sites has been on sites where I was doing some artwork, so it's refreshing to see art that is a totally different, and super-awesome style.

I will admit to being spoiled by Ernya's multi-colored hair though, prior to that, I did think the hair system here absolutely rocked. (and it still does... but the ability to streak your hair? that's kinda awesome, IMHO >.>) The number of colors here is pretty amazing though.

As for other sites, I spend a majority of my time on Celainia, mostly working though </3 Cel's my baby, so I can't really compare it to mene without bias, so I'm not going to really touch much on that. XD

I used to spend a good deal of time on Varus Online before it pretty much crept in a hole and died... and I have to say, again, I like the hair on VO, when I compare it to mene or gaia. VO lets you stack hair styles, so you can equip buns and long hair and have long hair with buns... some combos work better than others, but it's something I've always found fun. However, on VO you have to buy each hair style and color, which is a bit of a pain, so in that, I like Mene better from a user's standpoint (though I understand the Why (gold-sink) for having hair be purchased)

I tend to pop in here and Ernya most consistently out of all the others though, I'm very non consistent. XD I think a large part of it is the bright colors and big change in art style and the other part is just the change in community dynamic. :3 I enjoy the dynamic here... it's a little more fast-paced than Celainia, but slower than gaia.

oh! I am active on pupegirl, though, that is slightly different. That site is based on critiquing clothing... and while I do adore sharing my wardrobe... I'm not so keen on that being the only really way to earn money aside from logging in and dressing up once a day. Which brings me back to.. I like that you can earn money from chatting here. :3
