What is the worst experience you've had with a player/group in an MMO?

I'm curious as to what sheer stupidity/incompetence you've encountered in whatever MMO that you play. Share your stories! This isn't just for WoW, but for any MMO that you've played.

Mine are all from World of Warcraft.

Personally, I'd say that it's a tie between the hunter that still didn't believe in pets or ranged weapons in his 30s when I was in a group with him for Scarlet Monastery, or the time that my Warlock was kicked from a group for, and I swear I'm not making this up, "ninja-ing the soul shards." They'd see "Moriquendi got Soul Shard" all of the time, and demanded that I share the loot. When I tried to explain how soul shards work, I was booted from the group for not sharing them.

This was in Zul'Farrak, mind you. Zul'Farrak is an instance for level 42-46 characters. And still, at that level, none of them understood how soul shards worked. -_-

The only MMO I've really played was Guild Wars. XD But oh my goodness....

I've had groups where the monks didn't do any healing, and didn't tell us before we entered the mission. And...monks (again...wtf?) that decided to just leech and not do anything. Then they get all mad when we fail? Really?

I always end up stalked by the Necro males, even when I'm not playing my necro (though she is my main). It's seriously creepy. They just come up to me while I'm in a town for something or other, and start dancing on top of me and/or sending me whispers and I'm like "wtf go awayyyy"

I think one thing that really drove me crazy, though, was the one Necro we decided to take in one of our groups and he kept using Blood Ritual to give me more energy, even though it took half of his life. I already had plenty of skills to prevent me from running out, so he kept dying for no reason. We told him to back off, but he never listened. T_T So irritating...

I recently quit WoW actually because I was tired of tanking or healing groups where the DPS was either terrible or bots. The worst/stupidest incident though was when I was tanking on my warrior in Heroic Utgarde Pinnacle and all the DPS was below 4k or so, but this boomkin that was doing like 1800 DPS keeps posting recount. Finally at the end of the dungeon when he does it again for the boss fight I asked in party, "why do you keep posting that? I wouldn't be bragging unless you are AT LEAST doing 5k."
Then he says, "who's bragging"? Which was confusing.
Then this stupid DK that was doing worse says, "you're just mad because you're not at the top".
I said, "Uh, that's because I'm the tank."
Then he's like, "So?".
Grr. I mean, some warrior and paladin tanks can do amazing DPS while tanking, but I was on my alt (which was a fresh 80 tank) and these DPS were terrible. Not to mention that every time I'm in a group with low DPS they always win all the loot or roll "need" on it. I'm so bothered by people just floating their way through the game with like un-gemmed and un-enchanted gear and no idea of how the game works and what their role is. Anyways.../endrant. : P

I would just like to say that the bit about the soul shards is a very funny story. Sorry it happened to you, but it's a good story to tell. : )
