Has anyone hear checked out RIFT, or even played the Beta? I'm actually really excited for it, it looks really good!

It's a lot like WoW except more polished and with better PvP AND character building options. :3

I reeeeally want to try it out, but the Beta is over, and there isn't a free trial yet.

I was really interested in it except I don't like to pay for games if it can be avoided.

Yeah, I know what you mean. And I actually play WoW on a free server because I couldn't afford to keep paying for it...

But the cool thing is, I work at a call center. And the RIFT support is moving into our call center! I've applied for a job as Game Master... pretty much you run around the world, unsticking people if they're stuck, reading in-game tickets and replying to reports against other players and stuff.

The best part is you get a free account if you get hired! So I'm hoping that I'll get hired around April or so with the next wave of trainees. <3

That'd be awesome! I'd definitely love to be able to do something like that.

Yeah, I’ve been playing RIFT since headstart in Feb. This is the most fun I’ve had in an MMO in a LONG time. I’ve played a lot of MMOs and none have been this polished at the start. The gameplay is very interactive. You can level up any way you want (pvp, pve, instances, or rifting.) It gives options for all playstyles. I personally am having a blast and highly recommend it.

A couple of friends of mine have been nuts about it. WoW-style games (and quite frankly, a tiny bit of a ripoff in places) aren't quite my type, although I have played Planeshift quite a bit. That and I run a mac.
