Have you ever used an E-Machine Computer?

Good god those computers are terrible. My grandparents got their very first computer and they went with the cheapest Wal-Mart has to offer. Though to be fair I'd say it's a great computer to start with, I guess.

E Machine is the brand name, have you ever had one of these computers? What brand was your first computer? Mine was Dell XD And it's an amazing computer too :O My monitor is huge!

my very first computer was a Frankenstein, just parts that I put together, it was great until my bf at the time tried to upgrade the version of windows that I had.

After that I had a Gateway which I loved but trying to get any kind of customer service was like pulling teeth.

Then I got a Dell it worked ok for about 2 years until the hard drive went, I tried getting help in a replacement part cuz it was still under warranty but they wanted money before they would even talk to me.

Unfortunately I was head deep in college and didn't have the time to research new towers so my stepdad more or less insisted that I get an E-machine. At the time I had only heard about them but didn't really know much about them.

With all the gaming and computer stuff I do it's really only a matter of time before I run out of memory I've already had to burn stuff to cds to clear up some space but over all the tower is acting like a stubborn little pack mule. So I guess I'd have to give them a huge thumbs up.

Computers.

I've heard of E Machines, though I don't hear about them much. So I would assume they aren't very popular and probably most of the people who have them are people who don't know a whole lot about computers or aren't very serious about computers.

The first computer that my parents got way back in the 90s was some kind of MSDOS thing. It didn't have Windows, you had to boot it up with floppy disks, kind of ridiculous. I'm pretty sure even at that time there were better computers out there, but I think that computer was given to them. I don't think it did very much, but since I was only six or so at the time, the only thing I did on it was play some Wheel of Fortune game that had horrid bright colors. XD We didn't have that computer for very long, maybe a year I think. Then my parents bought a Macintosh Performa and got AOL so that was the first computer we had with internet access. I remember as a kid I was mad that they got a Mac and not Windows because when we would go to the store I would look for computer games and there was always such a tiny selection for Macs. Most of the fun looking games were for Windows and it pissed me off big time. I never liked Apple computers after that. We didn't get a Windows computer until I was twelve I think, and that was a Gateway. I was so relieved, but by then, I wasn't all that interested in kid games anymore anyway, I mostly did things online, but it was still a relief knowing that if I wanted to download something or whatever, it would be compatible with my computer.

My first computer that was actually mine and I didn't have to share with my parents was a Sony Vaio laptop that I got when I was fifteen or sixteen. That thing got so much abuse from me and yet I still have it, it still runs, and I use it as my work computer now, since it's not in the best of shape and doesn't do so well if I try to go online with it.
