Age of Empires!
Remember the good ol' days when games were simple? Kill this, dominate that, control this, liberate them. So on. Well, I do. Did anyone else ever play Age of Empires?? =D I LOVED that game. Still do! So hard to find nowadays too. =( It's a shame. I remember when my big brother first got the game and was playing with his friends online. I was AMAZED. "You can ACTUALLY play with other people?!" We never did much of the "computer" thing until we got bored with our PS2. xP So we were behind. But, it was still so much fun! Being a language nerd ( I always have been, always will be ), I was just so interested in how with different civilizations, you could click on the villagers and they'd speak their language to you. x) I'd always choose the Chinese or Japanese. Click on the little Japanese villager and you hear "Hai?" or "Watashi?" So cute! You could also build maps of your own! Gold Rush was my favorite map of all, though! What about you?

Age of Empires was THE SHIT! I had the original years ago. I don't know what happened to it. All I have now is Age of Mythology which is pretty bitchin' too.

I loved these games so much. I played them a lot when I was younger.
Both AoE 1 and 2 were awesome. The 3rd one was different but still pretty good. |
I loved these games too! My mum plays AOE II for relaxation time. She'll play a points game and just whip up.

I love all games like this, and the city builders such as Emperor and Caesar. I have been wanting to play AOE for over a year now but it's so hard to find, not to mention expensive for some reason. I have Age of Mythology, (which is very kick-ass, btw) but I've beaten it so many times it's kind of lost it's luster.
I remember the first time I played AOE, my friend and I played together from two computers (not online though) and spent half the time mashing the taunts XD I was actually really bummed to find AOM didn't have audio taunts like that! |
I had all three Age of Empires games but I also played simlir games like StarCraft. My brother and I played those games all the time! They were freaking awesome! I was a computer nerd to the max with those games and I am not ashamed of it in the least. The older games were the best though because the graphics were simple but still amazing, I loved building armies to completely destroy the other teams. Geez, I need to go find that game cause I want to play it NOW! :D
