Has anyone heard of Nykari(.com)? I heard it just opened.. I tryed to go to the site to check it out but all I got was some weird error or something... anyone else? If you have been there.. what is it like?

If this is the site I think it is, it failed. It was created by a person who is notorious for creating avatar communities and then shortly after abandoning them, apparently only valuing the power of being the admin with a complete disregard for the responsibilities. This community was by far one of the worst quality ones I have seen, the avatars were poorly animated, and the place was full of bugs and spam.
I am not surprised that it's down already, it was just a matter of time.

I happen to know that a community called Elidiun is another created by this person.

Elidiun was not created by the same person who created Nykari, Elidiun was created by the person who now owns Terrasus. However the creator of Nykari was on staff on Eli and did take over adminship there for about three days (or some other silly number) before he quit due to the pressure.

However yes, Nykari is a failed site. It was opened to the public, the owner went on holiday, he lost access to the site and the coders left. Or some other drama like that, it was explained somewhere in the Avatar Site thread on Celainia. I personally know the owner of the site and if I were you, I would keep an eye out on him and any community that you think he has a part in, because if he is on staff you can bet your bottom dollar that it's going to fail with him on the team. I'm not being mean (although you may think that) I am being honest. :c

He's started (another) new site called PixiPlaza or something along those lines. The site was previously known as Wishtides, which againw was near completion before he stopped development and re-did it.

Nykari was an awful site, no rules, buggy forums and horrible avatars. You were lucky you missed it.

My mistake then regarding Eli; I was merely repeating what I remember hearing(or what I thought I remembered hearing), I don't even know the person.

It's really too bad that this person can't get their act together. I always love checking out new avatar sites.

It is a shame, I love checking out sites too. Though I have pretty high standards for sites so it's not often that I can find a site that I like (items, community, staff and the actual layout).

Same here kind of. It takes quite a bit for it to keep my attention. Otherwise I may only hang around a few times and lose interest.
