I don't think I've ever run into anything that crazy... I've had to fight three dragons at once though and there were other times where I had to fight 2 dragons at once why they kept getting distracted my random of things off in the distance.

I didn't even know dragons could attack inside cities!

Oh wow, I've never seen three dragons at the same time. The most I have seen is two. Although even that happens less often than me killing one dragon only to have another appear essentially straight away. It is somewhat amusing seeing them when they get distracted by random things in the distance. Never sure if I should feel more relieved or insulted.

Vampires are not so exciting really though. I have gotten used to seeing them pop up now. It was more annoying than anything else.

Maybe it is rare for Dragons to attack inside cities? It is not the first time it has happened to me though. The first time was in Solitude ironically though. Kind of freaked me out a little bit to be honest. As I had no idea that it was even possible.

I'm trying to remember where I tend to run into multiple dragons... I think it's called Dragon Tooth Crater? I've only run into 3 once and I was freaking out the whole time. If I go to the Crater place, I tend to get two at a time. It gets to the point I get irritated when they get distracted because half the time they never come back and are already nearly dead so there goes my dragon bones (even though I really don't need them anymore).

I presume they were exciting at first! I know I was all about raiding places and looting them dry until I went into a place full of necromancers. Never have I felt so disgusted in a place that I ignored looting everything and just did the quest to leave.

The closest thing to in a city (other than Riverwood and places like that) where I've had a dragon attack me was at the Mages College. It was my first blood dragon and the High Elf dude had just confronted me and watched me fight the thing. I thought it was supposed to happen. Apparently it was just random.

I don't think I have found Dragon Tooth Crater yet. I am pretty shocking with how little of Skyrim's locations I have discovered. I have had dragons fly away and not return though. Agreed that it is really stressful when that happens! Although it would be weird if I loved it when that happened. o.o;

The first time it definitely was exciting. I tried to take them on in combat and the absolutely wiped the floor with me. I was thankful that when I reloaded they were not attacking the farm again. Still I proceeded to run away whenever I came across them. By chance they cornered me once, so I fought back expecting to die. Discovered that I am now beyond their ability. So as you can imagine they are not very exciting anymore.

Haha yeah, they can be nasty.

Haha that is quite amusing timing. The randomness just fits in so nicely with the storyline!

Ohmagerd the freaking vampires!!!!!!! They make my life miserable! I have an unwritten rule that I don't ever let NPCs die in my game, and the vampires kill so many of them! If it's a guard, that's fine, but if it's a character with a name I can't let them die.

I once had a dragon attack Riverwood and kill off multiple NPCs. That was a major pain in my butt.

I don't think I've ever ragequit Skyrim, though. There are a couple of quests that I loathe that take me forever irl to complete because they're so long and stupid. I hate the wizard college quest and I also hate most of the dwarven ruin quests.

@Crimson: Have you never played the Imperial questline? I admit I might have liked it more because I felt I was on the right side. It's pretty similar to the Stormcloak otherwise.

I'm trying to remember what city wanted you to go there. I believe it was Markarth. There was only one dragon there at the time, but now when I quick travel there, I tend to find 2.

Fate, luckily, if they are major name NPCs (like Lydia), they can't die unless you kill them (I've killed her in all of my play throughs, though all on accident).

I don't find dragons quite so difficult anymore either, even though I'm fighting Ancient dragons. I have my gear upgraded enough (as well as Vorstag's) so they aren't too much of a problem. That and I probably have the majority stock of health and mana potions in all of Skyrim. Not to mention most of the weight in my bags is made up of food...

Yeah, the immortal NPCs are nice. Don't have to worry about 'em.

I carry around a shitton of Ultimate Healing Potions. Nobody can kill me as long as I'm paying attention. Hehe. Or they're powerful enough to one hit me, which is rare.

Yeah, I don't like having NPCs die either. I did however decide to accept the conflict and thought I had saved everyone. With just 4 guards losing their lives. Unfortunately Illdi died. Not quite sure why, but she was my favourite member of the Bard's College. She has therefore become my character's backstory. When I do the Dawnguard quests avenging her death will be what is motivating my character. (>.<)

Yeah, I have never really played that much of it. I have only made one play through prior to my current one. Even then quite limited progress was made. Didn't finish the main quests, was also playing with a vanilla version of the game. Just did some exploring and a few of the faction's quests. I believe I only completed the Thief and Mage factions. Oh but I did win the civil war for the Stormcloaks.

Edit: I almost had the sky kill me too. Well not directly. I stopped to look at how pretty the aurora sky was and a bear attacked me while I was looking. (u.u)

Ooooooh, have you never killed Alduin, then? If not, wait till you do! That quest is GORGEOUS. I won't say more than that, though, so I don't spoil it for ya. Oh, and when you do the Dawnguard quests...I would wait to do those till you're a pretty high level. I was probs level 48 when I did them and I still had my butt kicked realllly badly in one part of that quest.

Yeah, I don't like letting NPCs and such die, but I think my first playthrough was more fun because I wasn't so worried about things being perfect. Letting things become part of my backstory that way was more fun. I'm playing my current character as a goody two shoes so I'm trying to be perfect. XP I did like my first character more, though. She was soooo evil.

The first time I played Skyrim a bear mauled me to death 25 consecutive times before I was able to kill it. I kept respawning in its den. >.>

The NCP that always dies on me is Lydia. It tends to be when weret fighting a dragon and I accidentally shout her off a mountain. I may dislike her greatly but I'm inconvenienced when she dies as I usually hadn't saved for a while, she's carrying the bones of 2 dragons, the loot of my recent raid and I didn't bring my house or it wandered off... I think it's just a ritual at this point...

I should look at getting through some more of the main quest tomorrow then. You have certainly piqued my interest. :) I am just happy to finally be done with the stupid werewolf form. Wanted to fully upgrade it, but couldn't stand the controls. The view made it too awkward for me.

Yeah, I am cautious about trying it before I feel strong enough. Want to get my enchant and smith skills up more before I attempt it. That way I can have gear which I am happy with.

I dare say, an experience like that was more than any one person could, ahem, bear.

Pity my co-workers, they have to put up with those sort of jokes all day. :D

*Gasp* I knew it! You are Howl!

But wow, I never realized the amazing potential of having companions carry extra loot for you. That is amazing! Got so used to them dying on me in Morrowind that I never really bothered with it in Oblivion or Skyrim.

-.- I dislike this new phone sometimes... Autocorrect doesn't actually correct anything... Silly thing, though I wouldn't be surprised if there was a mod to make your horse a house XD

Yup, they can carry quite a bit! It makes raid Dwemer ruins nice, until you find the one that's big enough that you and your companion can't carry it all without being super slow @[email protected]

There is indeed a mod to make a house follow you around.

@Crimson: Mmmm. I want to spoil it so bad, but you'll just have to do it yourself. I wish I could experience it all over again for the first time.

I never did do much with the werewolf form. The vampire form was more fun for me, but still a major pain in the ass to control...that and it has a lot of negatives you have to deal with for having it. (like you can't regen stamina or health in sunlight)

It's only the one quest in Dawnguard that's awful, but it is awful. It's in the second most beautiful place in Skyrim (the first being the end of Alduin's quest), but there is this one set of monsters that is....really overpowered.

XD It was rather hard to bear. I thought I was going to have to start my game over. XD

My character is a Breton, so he doesn't get much flak from the Nords. I do hate every time you enter the shop in Falkreath, the shopkeeper's brother is right there by the door and he says, "I can't believe we let provincials like you wander Skyrim." --- I always have to resist killing him.

I try not enter towns and cities at night. I too hate when vampires kill off NPCs. If i'm fast traveling to a city at night, like Solitude or Markarth, i'll wait by the stable until morning and then enter. If it's an open town, like Riverwood or Dawnstar, i'll choose an area not too far away. ... Vampires are a pain in the ass.

Twice i've had a dragon attack while I as in Whiterun. It's funny how the skeletons glitch sometimes. I left Whiterun and came back some time later and the dragon skeleton was lodged in the guard's tower and wiggling like crazy.

I know, what makes it even worse is when it impacts how I speak...Okay maybe it doesn't impact that. But in my defense, as I said to a co-worker once "sometimes it seems English isn't my native lung". Hmmm maybe there is a job for me in auto correcting people's communications?

Yeah, that is so cool as I have just been leaving a whole bunch of stuff behind everytime. Now that I have two houses, I definitely have space to store them. It is a real pain. Although I am still happy that you are capable of moving at all while exceeding your carrying capacity. Got trapped a few times in Morrowind when a potion wore off and I didn't have enough space to drop the items. (u.u);;

Hahaha, that would be so weird.

I'm still looking forward to trying the Vampire form though. You definitely have my excited to play the main quest through now. Haha as soon as I finish this post I am off to play. :D

@Fang: That would be too funny! I've given up correcting what my phone overlooks so now some texts come across as unreadable >.>

@Howdy: I've had skeletons just keep scooting away and randomly being in buildings when I go back to a place but not too often. I think my favorite bug so far was when I was in Riften. There was some thief so all the guards went after him. I didn't feel like chasing him down so I went in the inn. Because I had heard the commotion, the commotion moved inside too. The thief came in, followed by the two guards that were after him, then two more, and more, and more until there were about 12 guards pummeling this poor guy to death in like half a second.

I had a glitch once where dragons wouldn't give me their souls when they died. THAT sucked.

@Crimson: When you do the Dawnguard quests you have the option to become a vampire no matter which side you take, so if you don't want to work for the vampires don't take the vampire form when you first meet them. Dunno if that advice is needed but I know I wanted it when I started playing.

And yes, do finish the main quest. It is amazing. I never want to leave the place it takes you.

@Captain: Never play an Imperial, then. That one drove me nuts. XP

I try to stay out of towns at night, too, but I always forget and end up with dead npcs. That, or I just try to finish the questline so they quit appearing.

Yesterday i'm walkin' around Windhelm and a courier runs up to me. He says that i've inherited some gold and that he's sorry for my loss. Somehow, without me noticing, the beggar lady in Windhelm kicked the bucket. That kinda sucks cause she taught the pickpocketing skill. --- But I always donated to her when I was around, so she left me 100 gold. Though dumb ol' Ulfric Stormcloak took 10, though. :B

When I was building the Lakeview house, a dragon attacked me in my front yard. After I killed that mother trucker, his skeleton stayed around for a long time, and he never stopped wiggling around. So every time I exited through the front door, it was there, wiggling, and it would make me jump.

@ElysiumFate ~ That happened to me once, where a dragon wouldn't give me his soul. It was near a word wall, southwest of Windhelm, I believe.

Oh, Skyrim, I haven't played you in a long while. Don't remember when. I do remember that I did half a last character who I made into a thief and generally most evil person in the world. My character didn't care for rules and broke into many houses just to see if there was anything to steal. Of course, I mostly stayed in Riften because of the fact that I am a Thieves Guild Master so I feel I have an obligation to be active in the town. I believe I also stole lots of stuff from inside of Markarth due to my fascination of the city.

I need to pick this up again.

Haha, I have a mod installed on the lakeview house so it's a veritable fortress. Nobody can mess with me there. BUT, I have had dragons die and leave their wiggly skeletons, and I don't like them scaring my children so I end up deleting them with console commands.

Well I remember why I never ended up getting through the main quest when I previously played through. I got distracted by the Thieves guild quests then started doing other stuff.

@ISOS-
Haha, then I definitely could fill in that role. I say some pretty incoherent things at times. Even something so simple as "hello" can be beyond me. It is made worse by my strands of perfectionism. Simply wanted to pass a message on to someone. They just wanted me to say "hello". I started saying the message was "hey" before realizing it was actually "hello" and attempting to correct it mid word. End result was me telling them that a former manager wanted me to say "heylo" So my potential to auto correct is certainly there. :D

@Elysium-
Thank you for that. That is really helpful to know. As while I do want to try being a vampire, I am not wanting to join them or anything. Yeah, I forget to stay out of town during night too. I am glad it is not just me.

Luckily if you get bit then you got roughly a few days to buy a potion in any general store in any town to be able to heal it. Which is nice to stock up on when dealing with the whole Dawnguard questline due to the fact of how many vampires you'll be dealing with. I think that's the one thing I made sure to have in my inventory alot because vampires would always constantly attack me at every possible chance that they could get and I was always at the risk of getting Vampirism. Also, I no like the Soul Cairn. It's such a boring place.

Dawguard is one pretty awesome questline. It's ranked first alongside Dragonborn which is totally epic and fun.

@Fang: That's awesome! I should try to find my text I was trying to send to my boyfriend the other day... Apparently it doesn't exist anymore. My phone only keeps so many texts per person.

Is the Dawnguard Vampire thing a part of DLC or something? I've fought vampires no problem and don't remember too many places that were swarming with them >.> Shrines can also heal vampirism.

Well, the Vampire thing is part of the whole Dawnguard DLC but once you install the DLC still becomes a problem throughout the whole game until you beat the quest line associating with it. Once you do is when the vampire attacks become less common but still are prevalent but not as much as before initiating the Dawnguard quests or during the actual the quest line.

Shrines, do work but you have to remember that shrines are also static and stay in one place. If you're say on a major quest and you can't divert from the Dawnguard quest then your next best bet is you to rely on the potions. Potions are good to rely on when it comes to curing Vampirism though especially once you get effected by them. It's quick cure and it works but it means you still have to spend gold constantly in order to keep a stockpile of them. It is worth it though.

@Cole: With Dawnguard you get the superpowered vampire morph. That one doesn't give you three days. Though it can be gotten rid of if you're willing to go through a pain in the butt quest for it.

@Crimson: Are you getting distracted again? It took me a long time to complete it because I wanted it to be the last thing I did in my first playthrough. The thieve's guild quest is long and grueling, so that is a long enough distraction in and of itself, though.

And you're welcome. :) I had fun working for the vamps, but I'm not a big fan of them. I won't be joining them again for awhile. Was fun to turn my husband into a vampire, though. XD That was the main reason I did that quest the first time.
