I find the Ebony armour is a lot better than the Dragon Armour. Especially when it is up to the legendary status.
I ditch Lydia the first chance I get... She's so annoying!
My only bitchings about Lydia are:
She steps on traps. She gets stuck on mountains. But she WILL carry your loot for you! |
I find any follower I bring along always gets in the way, no matter the situation, so most of the time I solo what ever it is I'm doing. It's especially annoying on my mage character, since they always get in front of me and block my spells.
Can't you make them stay at the door of a room while you go in?
Yeah, but for most mages(at least those people who don't use that class enough to be able to solo easy) they need someone there to take the hits. Or just carry the loot without running back to front of dungeon.
Try getting an archer or a mage to follow you.
If I need cannon fodder that remains out of my way I grab Marcurio. |
I use Lydia, all because she was there when I started, I married the Housecarl from Solitude, and accidentally killed the follower chick in the Drunken Huntsman shop(guards were after me for a Dark Brotherhood contract I just finished...she got in the way). All the others...well, I chose a female character because I DIDN'T want to see a male ass the whole time I was playing...so that's kinda why I stuck with Lydia. xD
I don't mind male ass... *points fingers together*
I don't mind staring at the asses of either gender. :XD Recently downloaded Robert's Male bodywhateverthefullfilenamewas from Nexus for Oblivion, and one for the females (though that one was from about a year ago, I should probably find a better textured one...hmm), so I get to stare at asses from both sexes whenever I plunder all their equipment and go sell them to unsuspecting vendors who talk about ransoming the items back to the original owners, who are quite (un)happily dead. :ninja: |
Wait! Ransoming?
From the Thieves' Guild fences. One of that guy in the Anvil Smithy's lines when you're selling him stuff was "(...) I might even be able to ransom it back to the original owner!" Though I doubt he actually does any ransoming, as most of the stuff was what I've pried off the cold (and in some cases, not so cold) dead bodies of people and creatures I've hacked or blasted to death. :ninja: |
Eh I still prefer to solo stuff.
I got my enchanting high enough on my mage that I have 84% destruction mana cost reduction right now. I can probably get it to 100% when I get enchanting to 100 with the double enchant perk. it's pretty awesome though. I can chain together dual casting lightning bolts, one after the next, and stunning my target each time I hit them. Got a dragon problem? Zap, zap, zap, zap, zap, dead. |

The second play-through will probably be a male Nord, who shall be called Orion. I've got him all planned out, too. |
I remember one mission where I had another character AND Lydia following me. I swung at a bad guy and it attacks back. Then the second lady attacks the baddy but the magic hits me, pissing Lydia off to no end. Those two had started fighting EACH OTHER. needless to say, I reset and then let them destroy the minor baddies for the rest of the mission.
Catfights can get so ugly. lol |
*gigglesnort* I havn't had that happen yet.
Ive had it happen where in the middle of a quest, I accidentally attack an ally, and they end up getting EVERYONE else in the town/area to attack me...and they are all my allies. Pissed me off...didn't want to re-do the previous battle...so I killed them all without a care.
Hmm...speaking of killing NPCs, I know that if you kill a shopkeeper a new one would show up later, with a new name and disposition towards you and all...but wouldn't that get confusing with the different names? And what if you kept killing them every time they appeared? Would the names start to repeat, etc? :S |
One time I was running through Whiterun and went to use my whirlwind sprint, but had unrelenting force equipped instead, so I ended up blasting a guard right in the face.
he then proceeded to attack me, then out of nowhere, one of the Companions ran in and started attacking the guard. This went on for a few minutes then they walked away from each other. |
I like it when dragons attack small towns, cause the townsfolk then get involved in killing said dragon. Leaving me to either stand around and do nothing or take credit at the final blow. >:-)
I find it amusing when dragons attack towns and then end up as a pile of ash on the ground with everyone standing around it, all amazed.
I try to hide from dragons.. Not only are they getting in the way of my quests, they kill my target and won't freeking LAND! Stupid. Over. Grown. Canaries!
For the longest time while trying to do a harvesting quest, I kept getting Ancient Dragons showing up wherever I ended up fast traveling to...I decided to do a different quest instead since they wouldn't land, and always used Ice on me(I only have a resistance to fire).
I've been busy reading on my Kindle Touch that I've not had much time between reading and work to play Skyrim. And my hubby hogs the computer as well, playing Skyrim, of course.
I finally finished a quest that pissed me off to no end. Harvesting Crimson Ninroots in Blackreach is NOT my idea of how to spend 3hours on Skyrim. Place is so huge(it's underground and goes from Windhelm to Solitude, if not further) that I still haven't explored half of it. And the weirdest thing about it....there are Giants, and Frost Trolls in there. Don't get me wrong, I expected Falmer and Frostbite Spiders, heck even the Dwarven Constructs, but definitely NOT the Giants or Trolls. Mind you, falling off this SUPER high waterfall(coulda sworn I would have died) was weird, since that type of fall on ANY living creature, unless it has a way of slowing its decent, would have killed it. Its like the Suicide Cliff...just at an underground waterfall.
