Ok, so Guild Wars 2 is not out yet and I don't think it will be out for another 2-3 months, but I am so excited. Anyone else out there dying to play this game when it launches?

I haven't played Guild Wars in years, and when I did play it wasn't very long, nor very consistent (I think my highest-leveled character was about 16/18?), but... Man. I've been following the GW2 release a bit obsessively... Though, in fairness it HAS been announced as to-be-released for longer than I've been playing, so... :P

But DAMN! I'm so excited! :squee: The more I hear about it, the more I can't wait!!
I'm hoping I'll have a new laptop by the time it comes out, because my current one is a four-year-old, low-end one. :lol:

But yeah... Gah. This is tormenting. I can't wait. :cry:
Alpha started recently, right? Or am I wrong about that?

I'm not sure if it started yet or not. I'll check with my hubby when I get home. He will know for sure.

Once it is available I want to try and get into beta to get a jump start and try it out. Even if its only a week or 2 of beta I feel like it gives me an ege over everyone who starts when it launches. lol.

I can't wait to try out the Mesmer class - I already called dibs on it for a guild one of my really good gamer friends is going to start C: We're preordering it ASAP!

So I check and it looks like GW2 is in closed beta at the moment.

I really wanna play the thief character. I think it will be badass I pvp!

So there isn’t actually any official launch date for GW2 yet. They just keep saying “It will launch when it is done.” This game has been in development since 2007, so I really, really hope that they launch it soon. I am dying to play it, and this waiting is killing me!

People are predicting it'll be second quarter, which would set its' release around April.
