I have been playing the Wii version.
BUt lost the game disk!

I has been missing for a few months and my poor town is gonna be ruined...
And my neighbours I like!

I will try to find it again though.
If only to finally have people to hang out with!

Wow, do I remember how excited I was for the first Animal Crossing for the Gamecube. I watched the trailer multiple times and I am pretty sure my face was always like "O-O" as if it was gonna be the best thing in the world, heh. I even got the guide several months early to read up on it, haha! My mom was even interesting and was gonna get it for me for Christmas at the time, but when I told her that we'd have to wait until next year to do some events (we didn't even dream of 'cheating' at the time) we started a bit early.

Got the one for DS as well, and I rather enjoyed that. I enjoyed the new additions, though I wished the town didn't get so small. And needing a visitor to upgrade the shop was a tad annoying. Other than that, I actually like the portable a bit better, even if just for the sole fact it's portable. If anyone needs to use the TV or anything they can and whatnot.

Also have City Folk, and started playing again back in March I think. I think I tried playing it twice a long time ago, but stopped quickly. Personally, this one was my biggest disappointment. I think the camera was way too close (even closer than Wild World) so I couldn't even see to the ocean and had to cast out just to see if any fish were there. It had the same fish and new things from Wild World, just a couple of new annual events. And speaking of events, it felt like it had become completely barren concerning those. I remember it felt like there was so much to do before or events to look forward to, but not in this one. And also... for paying off that monstrous debt you only get a flagpole? I liked having an awesome statue better; made me actually feel like I accomplished something. And also, I'm sorry, but whose idea was it that making the grass degrade was a good idea? There is nothing positive about it, and if it bothers you, it just punishes those who try and stay dedicated and active on it as your town begins to look like a big dirtheap.
...Sorry, I'll stop there.

Anyway, I am kinda looking forward to the 3DS one. Though not completely soaked up in any hype. I'm just hoping for more news and information to go on. The swimming and being able to be mayor certainly stick out the most though.

I agree with the grass thing.
Hate that aspect. Ugh.

Though I have found my game!
(In my little brothers room... :ninja: )

So does anyone still even play?

I AC.
Sadly, I never have anyone to visit my town or their towns. :C

I miss it, I have it on the DS and my City Folk is lurking somewhere in the house. :C

KyleDOT: I don't think they made it for the PC but if you find an emulator for the Gamecube, DS or Wii you can use ROM's to play it.

I have AC for the DS, and when I first got it, I played and played and played and some of my friends got AC to, so we visited each other ^-^"
I always tried to get every fish and every insect and what else, I also made areas for each sort of trees. ^o°
When my brother bought a wii, he also bought Animal Crossing for the wii, I forgot the correct name.. but we could go to the town °__° It was awesome, and my friend got a wii and AC too, but my brother sold it now, so that I couldn't visit my friends town T___T He also wants to sell the wii.

I'm also really excited for the 3DS version, or is it already out? Well anyway. I really really want to play the new 3DS version, but I don't want to spend money on a 3DS.... Technically, my DS Lite is almost totally wiped out. The top screen is so loose, and the buttons are hard to press. Plus, there are a bunch of scratches on my touch screen haha.
Ahhh, would it make sense to buy the game cartridge and just play it on my brother's 3DS? Er.... Seems like a waste of money, really, when I can spend that money on other things I want but. Sigh.
Internal conflict.

I don't think it's available to US folks yet, so you have some time if you're in the states. We're in the same boat here with hardware, except none of us in the house have a 3DS to borrow. I reeeally don't want to have to buy 3 of those things just so we can play Animal Crossing. The 3D bit hurts my eyes, besides - I tried the airplane demo thinger in the store and it was painful - don't think I would be able to tolerate it for long. :(

Oh oh! I have just added Peaches to my silly Wii town though! Which brings my fruit tree variety up to 3 - or 4 if you count coconuts (also have Oranges (native) & Cherries)
*does the insane nintendo-fanlady dance*

Yes, me too! I've tried playing on my brother's 3DS and it was giving me a mild headache. And also, I think I was getting dizzy. Now that I think about it, I probably won't be buying a 3DS any time soon... :c

I just bought a 3DS XL so when and if the new animal crossing comes out I'll be all set, on another note I finally found my wild world and cleaned it up just one problem I got a new internet modem and animal crossing (and only animal crossing) won't let me connect to the internet so I can't get a friend code :( I do have animal crossing on the wii but I haven't played it much.

I think the new one is called new leaf, sadly I haven't heard about any release dates for Australia. I have to agree the 3D gives me headaches after a while so I don't use it.

; ○; I've got AC Wild World and AC City Folk but I don't use either very often. For some reason I went crazy and wiped my ACWW town after paying off my house and getting Nookington's. *~* My sister is an evil ActionReplay-er and the thought that her corrupted bells were in my console made me delete everything and never let her wander over by wifi again. .o. Of course, now I don't even remember why it was such a big deal. I still check up on the community forums every so often and check out my new town to clean up some weeds. n.n Is there anyone else here that uses the AC forums?

I lurk there every once in a while. I love reading horror stories of people having to restart their CF game over and over again to get more "desirable" towns cause I ended up doing the same thing after I paid of my mortgage in full. xD

I really hope the limited edition New Leaf 3DS gets released in the US. I keep waiting for a decent 3DS but "American white pigs" never get the cool Nintendo stuff, apparently. <_<

I just found a website for the release dates for AC: New Leaf (US, Japan, Australia and UK releases of the Animal Crossing: New Leaf video game - Giant Bomb) it's there if you want to have a look for yourself but from what I found;
Japan 8-Nov-2012
Australia and UK April-June 2013
US Jan-Mar 2013

City Folk actually feels like it has less content than Wild World on the DS. You can go to the big city where there's a few more things to collect like emotes and more expensive furniture.

In grade 8 my friend leant me her Animal Crossing cartridge and I fell in love! I got so addicted to it but I think I've restarted my towns so many times just due to the weeds growing. I'm so lazy! But I've stopped that now because on my current game I've got a few items I don't want to lose. I used to visit people via the Animal Crossing Community website but my wifi connection just suddenly stopped working with it and I havn't had any visitors since. I really wanted a Nookingtons too because I have a really ugly hairstyle and I have to rely on wigs to hide it away.

Once I got a Wii I bought City Folk and I think I'm more on top of the weeds in that. It just seems to be easier to pick them on there compared to the NDS. I have a pretty cute character on there. I haven't played it in a while though, everyone must be missing me. I probably don't go on it as much because it's not portable.

I then downloaded Dolphin, the Game Cube Emulator to play the first Animal Crossing on here. It's a bit basic but cute and I think I like how the houses are in a little circle and you get to pick one. I don't like the controls on the computer so I don't play it much. I bought a Gamecube Controller for my Wii so all I need now is the old discs. Hopefully one that still has the cute memory card even though I don't need it.

And finally, I am so looking forward to the new game coming out in June, I think. Well that's when it's coming out in America. Hopefully Australia will have it at the same time. I'm looking forward to it because I'll actually get to visit people and have visitors since my 3DS is compatible with my wifi and it actually works. I like the whole wifi system of the 3DS so much better, it makes me so happy.
