I would really like to get to know some Zelda fans and get their views on the games, share tips and anything related.
My favourite Zelda game is Twilight Princess, words cannot describe how much I love it.
I have come across many people who have told me I'm not a true Zelda fan because:
• I've never completed any of the games (not even got on to the third level on any)
• I have only been playing the games since 2006.
• I hate Skyward Sword.
There are a few other reasons I just cannot think of them now.
So if your one of those people who are going to hate on me because of that as it really hurts inside.

I know how it's supposed to be before Hyrule was established and that but it doesn't feel like a Zelda game to me without Hyrule, Ganondorf and Epona.

Ah I see! I felt a bit disappointed when I found out Epona wasn't there in the Skyward Sword. I understand what you mean xD Apparently Skyward Sword is like the explanation to how everything started, before Hyrule existed. That's what I think, haha.
How's it going for you in Twilight Princess?

Well I have only gotten to the carriage journey across Hyrule fields with Telma, Ilia and the prince Zora. I've been stuck there for at least two years. I've managed to get to the same point quite a few times then cannot get any further no matter what walkthrough I look at or any tips people give me. It's not going very well then... =3

Ouch D: That happened to me before too, but it was in another Zelda games....

Are you stuck because of the troll who is blocking your path on the bridge? I find it troublesome to get through there, since you have to fight him on horse back, kind of like jousting T_T

No, I'm on the first field and I think I have to kill some bird that's bombing the carriage. I usually lose the carriage when fighting enemies and don't put it out in time.

You should have the carriage within sight, so that when it's on fire you can just target-lock on it and use the Gale Boomerang to put out the fire. When the bird enemies get near you, I think you can swing your sword to kill them off. I think that's what I did last time, if memory serves me right xD

I probably have to go play it again to jog up the memory D;
Have you tried searching for video walkthroughs for the game?

Yep, but I didn't really pay attention. I may try it out again later though. Thanks!

ZELDAAAAAAAAAA!!!
*runs in the thread screaming, waving fangirl flags*

Oh my god, where do I even begin to talk?!
MajorZeldaFreak: this thread is my heaven :squee:

Okay let me see... I have played:
*The Legend of Zelda *A Link To the Past *Link's Awakening DX *Ocarina of Time *Majora's Mask *Oracle of Seasons/Ages *Four Swords (& Adventures) *The Wind Waker *The Minish Cap *Twilight Princess *Phantom Hourglass * Spirit Tracks *Skyward Sword.

So pretty much all of them except the second one. I have beaten all of them except for A Link to the Past, The Legend of Zelda, and Spirit Tracks... I don't know why I haven't beaten them... various reasons. But I loved each and every single one!!

I have a hard time choosing my favourite. Ocarina of Time was my entire childhood, so for nostalgic reasons I would choose that. I even played it with my friends outside... we would all pretend to be the characters and run around my yard. Majora's Mask was delightfully dark, and Skyward Sword is beautiful with excellent character depth.
I guess with a lot of thought, my favourite would have to be.... Majora's Mask! :)

Are there any particular games you know you'll be playing? :)

Zelda!!

Majora's Mask is brilliant. There are so many dark underlying tones and intricacies... Remember the quote from one of the lunar children? "Your true face... What kind of... face is it? I wonder... The face under the mask... Is that... your true face?" Ah-maz-ing. And when the Butler Deku is reminded of his son when he sees you...

However, I enjoyed Windwaker, too. Spirit Tracks. Phantom Hourglass. Four Swords. I just enjoyed the style; it was intriguing. And the characters - Tetra was my role model. There were many insane allusions and references to storylines like Odysseus and the Wizard of Oz. I believe I've finished every game, though I'm still replaying Skyward Sword on hero mode. I enjoyed the game, though I understand how it lost the "Zelda" nostalgia. Of all of them, I thought Twilight Princess was the most disappointing. Maybe my expectations were too high.
