Weird/Unique Games
 

What are some weird/unique/wacky games that you guys have played? I guess this can also kind of double as a "hidden gem" thread. Feel free to post whatever, from console games to tiny flash games!

The weirdest game I've ever played is definitely LSD: Dream Emulator. It's just...so... see for yourself.

...Pretty much anything by Jeff Minter.

I love strange games.

Loved is an odd game. So is Coma. I love the mysterious melancholy of the situations.

Silent Conversation is also quite unique. I love them all, really, for being online flash games.

The weirdest game I have ever played would have to be QWOP, it is a game where you are an Olympic runner and you must use the letters Q, W, O, P to control your legs and reach the end of the 100m track

I got Psychonauts through one of the Humble Bundles but unfortunately it won't run on my computer D: It's a shame since I keep hearing excellent stuff about this game...

Games I've played that nobody seems to know exist:

LocoRoco: A great, fun, colorful, musically oriented platformer for the PSP.

Ribbit King: A pseudo-sports game involving using a catapault to launch frogs into a hole golf-style. It's better than it sounds.

Gitaroo Man: A music game that isn't loaded with awful pop, and has a unique playstyle. Unfortunately, it's a little on the short side. The PSP port has a couple more levels, though.

Suprisingly enough, I haven't found many Peggle fans out there. It's kind of a shame, really, it's a fun game.

Oh, man! I had Loco Roco in highschool! It really was quite fun. I sold my PSP after I graduated, though. I just didn't use it that often. That game was so good, though.

Eh...I played Peggle once....It was okay, but not enough distinguishes it from flash games of a similar nature. I mean, maybe graphics...but that's all its got over free versions.

The fucking Burger King and the WAHH made me laugh so hard. xD

The one "game" that I play right now that's (IMHO) on the unique side is called "Ingress". It's one for Android phones, in closed beta... It's one of those "Augmented Reality Games".

Probly minions of mirth. its such a deep well sculpted game but the graphics are so poor that it runs good but it doesnt look that amazing.

This is a weird flash game I played a while ago called 99 rooms, it's an easy game but it's also weird and arty, They also do this other one called Ana Somnia.

Recettear. It's definitely a unique game that deserves more love.

In a nutshell: Ever play a FF or a Dragon Quest game, go into a shop, and buy things? This is the other side of the equation, where you are the shopkeeper, and you have to buy and sell items to keep your store afloat, hire adventurers to explore dungeons for rare items, etc.

It's on Steam, btw.

Galerians is my fave hidden Gem it's for the Playstation 1 and it has a second game Galerians:Ash for the playstation 2.

It's a weird action horror scifi game but only girls like it. Most of the main male characters are extremely good looking and it's mainly fan service for girls~! Especially the second game~!

Guys do like the first game except for the second to last boss and they hate the second game because it's a boy love action horror scifi game~!

Parent's hate it because it involves kids taking drugs and loads of violence.... In the first game the main character who is 12 is stealing drugs from a drug lord! [twisted] Second game the girlfriend is making drugs to give to her boyfriend! [twisted]

I think a lot of indie games warrant that wtf moment, haha.

I'm sure most people have heard of/played slender by now, but have you heard of slendertubbies? it's using the tellytubbies (i cannot for the life of me remember how to spell that) and well...they're dead? it's weird, haha.

Beat hazard is a weird game, it uses your own music to fuel the gameplay, but it can probably cause people to go into epileptic shock >.>

oh i noticed someone mentioned Qwop, for anyone whose played that, there's a game called Clop which is basically the same game but using a unicorn xD

Revenge of the Sunfish is probably on top of my list for WTF, haha. here's a playthrough by PewDiePie xD

Kerbal Space Program. If I had a PC that could run it, I would SO get this game.

Wrath of the Gods
I think that game may be my favorite game ever.

Its not not weird so much as it is old and super cheesy. The voice acting and costumes are not high budget, as you can see. Even better, everyone speaks in totally contemporary English, saying things like "Dude, what's your problem?"

It is... *wipes away a tear of laughter* oh, it is just one of the best game ever. To be fair, part of the reason I love it is because I've been playing it since I was 6 or 7 and all of its cheesy goodness is seared into my brain forever. (I secretly quote it, and no one ever knows.) I had to search high and low to find a Mac OS 9 emulator so that I could keep playing it on my current computer. SO worth it.

Ooh, LIMBO. That game was great. The art is really nice but certain aspects just made me facepalm, haha. it's a really good indie game though. I would recommend it.

A lot of games offered in humble bundles are really good actually :)
