Agreed Senpai. From a technical standpoint the Vita and the PS3 trump over Nintendo systems. Monster Hunter being on the 3DS will just guarantee that it's graphics will never stop looking like something from the PS2 era, lol. Like the fact that Nintendo thought it was a cool idea to have a portable without dual sticks in the year 2012 is just mind boggling.
It's a shame that Sony has trouble making back the money they spent doing R&D for the Vita and PS3 cause those are awesome consoles.

Don't forget that Phantasy Star Online 2 is gonna be multiplat with a Vita release.

I agree. The Vita, a long, is an outstanding system. It's certainly a hand-held of the future. It's a shame developers don't want to touch the system, for what ever reason I don't know.

Nintendo, while a good gaming company, builds current systems and hand-helds off of older technology. The 3DS... just a DS with 3D technology. The Wii U, same as the Wii... with a giant DS tablet.

That's why I was always so reluctant to buy any Nintendo product after the GBA. It always seemed to rely on gimmicks, waggling, two screens, 3d, and touch.

I don't think it's time for a next generation console... maybe in 2-4 years, perhaps. The PS2 has stopped being created and shipped not too long ago, in Japan. That system certainly lived to be 10 years go. So, I wouldn't be against the idea of the PS4 being in R&D right now. I would be against it being released this Christmas.

It would be a shame to drop support for current gen consoles too. I'd like to know whether or not we will get any good high profile releases for PS3 or 360 next year. D:

I can't say for 2014, but I'm looking forward to The Last of Us, BEYOND: TWO SOULS, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (which comes out on 1/22), Tomb Raider reboot, INJUSTICE: Gods Among Us, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Tales of Xillia, and anything else that may be released for this year.

I'm excited for Ni No Kuni as well. Kinda wish that we had a cool limited edition PS3 bundle here in the states. I would so get that! D:

When is the release of Phantasy Star Universe Online 2? Can't wait till March when Dead Or Alive 5 Plus releases. I want Dead Rising 2 again and this time unlock all of the trophies.

It depends, really. If it's worth the $400.00 price tag, sure. If not, I'll save my money. Haha.

They're bringing the Super Slim to the UK in Red and Blue, I think that it looks nicer in Blue then in Red. But they are the 160GB models not the 500GB models.

Well, you can probably take out the 160g HD and replace it with a 500g. Granted, you'd still need to back up the OS and all of that jazz and reinstall it on the new HD.

But in doing so it will void the warranty :/

I think it used to be.. I knew of people that used to install linux onto their PS3s but apparently they dropped all support for it? o_O

Sony took out OtherOS because of security issues. Someone made a homebrew hack to get around that, and to put illegal games on the system. There was a HUGE firestorm about it some time a couple of years ago.

I still think it's open source, as far as hardware is concerned. However, because I haven't done much research on it, I don't know.

The game looks real interesting. For some reason, I feel a bit like it's similar to Grimm Fairy Tales. I'm not sure if I want it on DAY ONE for the Vita.



In order news, Sony is to announce something big on 2/20. Any bets on what that might be?

My guess is that it has to do with the PS4. My personal feelings are that it's still too soon for the console. And that I dislike the fact that they are looking to nix the ability to play used games.

Not sure how I feel about the PS3 streaming. Need more details on it. Did read that one company pretty much confirmed the rumor that the next Xbox console won't play used or rental titles. So hoping that Sony doesn't go that route.
