Alice Madness in Wonderland

Have you ever played this game?

Personally I found this game to be extremely entertaining; given that it not only encompasses a rather grim version of the Disney made Alice in Wonderland movie, but also its characters have been drastically altered to the point of being disturbing in appearance. Now, some may say that this game completely ruins the supposedly sweet establishment of a girl in a magical world of possibly, or presumably, her own creation - but then again, it's not like you have to play the game. Although, at times, it is like a fine soup - in this case, let's use chicken noodle as the example - there are some things you may like or dislike about the game; luckily some aspects of games can be changed, altered, or taken out - "the chicken". As where other parts must be left alone, because it would defeat the whole purpose or plot of the game - "the broth" or general flavor. Hm, I feel like Cilan, making all these speculations about something and relating it to food... and I quite dislike Cilan (in reference to pokemon). Anyhow, that's another matter.

So I guess my point is

Alice Madness in Wonderland is a badass game with great animation, and an interesting plot and set of characters. That reminds me, I have to go nag my friend to let me borrow the game again !

Do I recommend this?

Yes and no. If you're afraid of seeing blood and horribly disfigured characters then no, I would not recommend this for you. The game, as you should have guessed from the title, it not something you'd have a five or ten year old playing - unless you want them to be scarred for life. The game centers around Alice, who is what I am guessing - insane. Though I haven't finished the game; nor have I played the others, but I have watched the trailers and some game reviews/plays.

And so here's a few questions for you:
  • Have you played Alice Madness in Wonderland or any of the 'follow-up' games for it? If so, how did you like it?
  • Have you ever read the original Alice in Wonderland books by Lewis Caroll?
  • What did you think of the movie Alice in Wonderland by Disney or any other source?
  • What's your favorite game and why?

I played a bit of American McGee's Alice. And I watched playthroughs of Madness Returns. I like both games, but I'm no good at them, so I'm content watching someone else play.

I'm not that great at them either, but I still enjoy playing - even though when I ask my friend for help, she often refuses, because she's enjoying the sight of me harassing the computer and having breakdowns

I like to watch reviews and/or other people playing the game as well, although if things become repetitive and they keep dying... well then, I might as well been playing the game myself

I played Madness Returns and I really liked it. I even have some of the art lithographs hanging on my wall.
