I'm just wanting Katrina to move her butt in so my town can be complete. More often than not I don't have the item she tells me is lucky, and I don't know if her fortunes are just for the day. In that case by the time I ordered in the item it wouldn't be lucky anymore... [XD]

Getting Katrina takes some work.. I haven't had time to visit other people's town while she was there so I don't think she'll be opening her store anytime soon. u_u I'll let you all know whenever she's in my town though. :B

I just got my 2nd tree stump design! [eager] First ginko leaf, then cat head thinger. It's my latest obsession. I have to be careful not to chop them all down at a time. [lol]

I did a dumb and ate my first candy.

I think I only ever got one design and it was a skull? I don't remember as I dug up the stump. If I got the triforce I'd probably leave at least one of those as it is awesome.

Crap I didn't check to see if I could buy the halloween furniture last night. >_> When I log on tonight I'll try to remember to check. If I can reorder it I will to help you guys out if you need it. If you can't rebuy it, I need to start squirreling away a set. I'll happily help someone else finish up theirs first though as I'm not currently planning on using it and it will be back next year...unlike the special event items from best buy and mcdonalds. Aw, I've been wanting to get the cat head one. All I have is a heart and music note. Did you know that with the golden shovel, it's a guarantee that you'll get one of those designs on the stumps?

@Liz - I'm buying fertilizer every day in hopes that I get the darn shovel sometime. [lol] Do you mean if a sapling is planted with the golden shovel it'll produce a design when chopped down? I did manage to get the golden axe recently but I don't get designs every time with it (though it does seem more frequent, I've probably chopped 10 trees down to get my 2 designs).

I need to fish more, I've barely caught any of those guys.

@Izumi - the mushrooms that grow around the special stumps can be really valuable - I just sold one for 16,000 bells. [eager] You can eat them, too, but I'm scared to try. :)

Oh yeah - both the Halloween masks and the pumpkin furniture are orderable via the catalog. When we get closer to the end of the month we can compare what we have so we all get full sets. :) I think I've got the dresser and the vanity so far.

Ohhh you can harvest mushrooms? I think that's only like one month out of the year? I'll have to check.

Also, that's awesome you can reorder. It makes it less an item I 'must' hold onto for OCD/completionist's sake...

I've only gotten the golden slingshot...and I'm still wondering if it really does a whole lot more than a normal one...who needs the stones projected three times in a shot? *shrugs*

I don't even bother popping balloons anymore. I wish there was more than just that one furniture set in them.

I think that mushrooms are year round? I was getting them in Sept and now Oct. My town rating is hosed now because I have so much crap lying on the ground all over the place, but when you're at perfect you can get semifrequent high dollar mushrooms around the stumps that you have to dig up (kind of the way bamboo sprouts appear).

Mushrooms can grow yearlong around those special stumps. But it's rare to find the mushrooms. Otherwise, November is the month to get them.

Oooooh you have to have a perfect rating? Does rotten bamboo count against that? :P My boys leave junk all over also and takes me forever to find it all.

I think rotten fruit takes away rating points, weeds do, and items left on the ground (this is what my problem is since I still have a bunch of furniture and stuff lying around to give away). Regular fruit doesn't hurt the rating, I know. Not sure about wilty bamboo.

edit: the perfect rating is only required for one of the 16k mushroom types. There's still a chance to get a "famous mushroom" without a perfect rating, those sell for 16k too.

Ah okay, guess i'll have to look around then!

The Halloween hats are so cute! I have the bug hat, skull hat, spooky floor and spooky vanity so far.

Also, one more fossil to complete the collection!!!

Aw I didn't know mushrooms grew, that's supe cute. I'm afraid I'll cut down too many trees though because I did it once in WW and I went crazy then got too lazy to plant new one. :S

I need to plant more trees too. I weeded all the trees without fruit so I could know just to shake the pine trees for my items. I also put all the pine trees in one central location, and scattered fruit all around the island.

llonka had class tonight, if you are still playing in about 30 minutes to an hour, i'll hop on and play with you Izumi. :)
