I'm only able to get EU items. :<

It's such a pain in the butt in general but it looks like it would be even moreso for you. I shook all of the trees in my town at least three times over before getting it. I have a lot of trees though so maybe having less would be a benefit? Idk. Good luck catching one!

I'm butt hurt right now. I didn't save last night before bed, and at some point my DS thinks I have removed the card from it so I lost everything I did yesterday. I'm not really too worried about the bells lost, but I had gotten 3 new items. One was a classic desk, the other was a KK song for the life of me I can't remember, and the other was another item.

I think for any one of you you'd be like "OK, no big problem there...right?", but right now I'm thinking I have to wipe all my data on my phone app and recheck everything off as now my OCD is like there are three items on your app that are marked off as you having them but you don't...and I don't know which ones. I may try to work backwards and since I roughly know the two were furniture items and I know one of their names I have a third of the battle. If not, I will literally spend another 3 hours sometime this weekend and re-catalogue EVERYTHING. I'm working towards the shopping badge and if I go back to the old system where I just 'buy what I think I'm missing', I end up rebuying things 3, 4, sometimes even more times.

Resetti came to me, though. I guess that's one thing to say hey look I accomplished. I just wish I at least quicksaved prior. I've been guilty of not saving and closing the DS, but this is the first time where it's backfired and caused me to lose data. >_<

Oh no! At least now that you've seen Resetti once it means you can build the reset surveillance center.

Oh no, that's sucks so much! D: Could you maybe go back in time and see if the items in the store are the same, maybe it will give you an idea of which one you forget (and maybe even re-buy!)?

Oh yeah and I forgot to say that I got the hugest psycho on the island the other day!
First she kept following me around not saying anything then when I told her that I'm just island hopping looking for a specific bug and she wrote in capitals begging me not to go. Then I told her not to worry as someone else will come then she said (still in capitals) that she's been waiting 15 minutes and no one has come. I thought fair enough so I asked her if she wanted to go on a tour which she extremely protested against and threatened to trap me. Then she asked for my FC and she insisted that she was 'nice', like hell I was going to give it to her so I lied and said I don't know it so she got super angry and started using that angry emote over and over soo I decided to try and leave the island and she bloody trapped me every time I tried to! I gave up then she said she was going to keep doing it.
So I turned my 3DS off. :/

Wow how creepy Wonderlands! I haven't gotten the island thing yet to be able to play with random people. Not sure I want to....

Izumi- Can't you just go to TIY and check the catalog? It'll show what you've got and you could just double check with the app on your phone.

@llonka - I can try to do that as I know I was only a couple items off. I will try to do that first before going crazy and resetting it. I'm just annoyed as I was being very diligent on checking stuff off as I got it and now with it being off...just a couple items off..it's like really OCD annoying cause I know it's now inaccurate and I don't know how.

I thought about stopping cataloging all together, but that just doesn't sound appealing. I think tonight I'll continue where I left off and this weekend if I get the gumption I will try to double check the in game ATM with my app. The big problem is the app doesn't stay true to game and categorizes certain things differently. I still need to go through and figure out what fortune cookie items I have as the ATM figures them all in with the normal items while the app gives it a separate category.

I finally got the app, and though it took forever to get all my stuff in there, dang, it's cool! I can see myself getting lazy and forgetting to check something in, but maybe I'll screenshot my purchases when I'm feeling lazy so I can just check the ds camera and add them after. >.> Already it's saved me tons of bells because I have a horrible memory about some of these items.

I just tried to get the Nintendo Zone item on the way home from dropping off the fella, but there was an error with the place I tried at (*cough*McDonalds parking lot*cough*). Bummer! I guess I need to swing by Best Buy after all.

Oh my gosh...thank you for reminding me Belly!! Otherwise I would of forgot. Crap...I can't swing by tomorrow as my husband is SUPER busy. Well at least not until late evening. We'll see.

Yeah...I'm addicted to that app. I catalogue EVERYTHING. Well except shells as I can't see a way to see what shells I've gotten.

@ Wonderlands: Oh my goodness, what a freak! I hope they weren't just trolling you though. But from the sound of it they were probably legitimately crazy! o_o

I've only gone on the international island twice, and both times were really pleasant experiences. I met a girl from Southern Germany and a guy from France. I would have added them but I don't know my FC off the top of my head and the home menu is disabled on the island. ):

Haha, all the other people I've met have been pretty cool, you should totally give it a go! It's pretty fun playing games with other people from other countries especially when you don't speak there language, haha.

When you're talking to Kappn's wife to leave the island the other person can either leave their inventory open (For some reason the game doesn't allow you to have it open when people want to leave) or they can speak to another NPC, stopping the other person from leaving. That's the best I can explain it sorry, haha.

I'm not sure if they were or not actually. I got the same person again two days later and they were fine.. But I blocked them anyway. :p If you ever run into "Stitches" from the town Acnl be wary!

I've met so many other great people on there! I traded FC's with a Japanese girl and she sends me letters informing me of Japanese things (like words and traditional items) and festivals, she's so lovely. ^__^
It's a shame you couldn't trade FC's with them. I have mine at the ready for times like those now.

@Wonderlands - You can send letters to other FC's? How? I'm really curious now as I've been wanting to send people here stuff without having to full on meet them and can't....or didn't think I could.

@Belly - Crap! Sorry I just got to this message now. Was super busy all day today. Hopefully sometime today we can meet up? I don't have a whole lot planned other than I traded in a bunch of games towards the new Pokemon game coming out and I plan on spending most my day just vegging out playing games. I have a free day with no kids this weekend and trying to use it to relax and just play Pokemon. I'll try to keep my eye out here and see what works for you.

I think it should be pre-loaded in your 3DS already but if you don't have it it's free from the eShop. It's the little green envelope with like a play button in the middle. But yeah, you can send letters to people you are friends with and they are sent when you're in spotpass mode/sleepmode (I still don't understand it the whole spotpass thing but anyway, but it sends!) Depending on your setting Nintendo can send you occasional letters via it too.
You can take photos, write 3d messages and even record your voice and send it. It's pretty cute but it's pretty confusing at first when you want to send letters to other people because there's no sort of sent notification or "outbox".

OMG...Wonderlands, thank you SO SO SO much for telling me about this. I had NO idea, and I have been griping as that was Animal Crossing's biggest downfall other than not taking tools out of your inventory space as it would be nice to carry all your tools without taking like 8 different spaces. (And yes I don't think it's quite 8, but it is a lot...bah) Other than that and possibly an integrated inventory app (but I solved that with a 3rd party one...) I think that Animal Crossing is one of the best games ever. It isn't for everyone, but for someone like me I have spent so many hours playing it.

@Belly - I don't know if you want to try sending it via this app? I am going to download it and take a look.

Okay, need advice. Thinking about restarting my town. I started on the 22nd July and have been playing nearly every day. I have become tired of my town layout and laying paths has been a bit of a nightmare because of this and I'm totally uninspired. I want a nice new, fresh layout with better placement. And this one is causing me some stress. AC is not meant to be stressful!
However, it would mean losing all my progress. I have a few favourite neighbours. And I want to get paths laid before it snows as to avoid major grass deterioration.

OR should I buy a new game (as I have credit to spend at a games store) and start a fresh whilst keeping this one?

OR should I push through and keep going.

Hard decision..

That is a tough one, luna... Is it a for sure you'll lose all your neighbors and work thus far? I've never tried to reset my town. I've been tempted for sure.

I think with Pokemon X I'm going to be finding myself torn between Animal Crossing and Pokemon X and which one gets my free time/love. D:

I think you should stay with what you have. AC is what you make of it. It's a game with a million ways you could do things better but none of it should be worth stressing over.
But.. if you feel like buying another game that wouldn't be too bad. You can experiment with different town themes!

In other news.. I HATE the fishing tourney. I made so many stupid mistakes today so I ended up with only like 2 fish furniture pieces when I could have had the six pieces from this month. ): I learned my lesson.

OH man....I totally didn't log in today to even try out for the fish tourney. >_<

Too busy playing Pokemon and I totally forgot. Whoops!
