This video - except replace "BP" with "Xbox", etc. Slightly NSFW, naked cartoon man butt, nothing too intense.

Why do I say that? Because Xbox will allow Gold members to download two free games per month, starting July 1st. As of the moment, Fable III is available for free download. (If you know of others, let me know, I intend to create a running list of free games). Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3 are titles on that list.

Xbox One is going to bomb, I think. And I think they know that too, so, to make up for it, they're giving away free shit. Don't get me wrong, that is nice of them to do that. I'm pretty sure Xbox 360 is going to be nonexistant now. Hey, that's fine, I just got my 360 back in February, and I only have Dragon Age: Origins and Skyrim. So, free games, you bet I'm on that.

Do you think they're being nice, or just making up for the eventual downfall?

Dunno about any catches. I went to the marketplace, searched for Fable III, and it says "FREE" right on it, where the price would normally be, so I'm downloading it. Nothing weird came up, asking for me to sign anything, or check any boxes. Just a normal download.

As for when it actually starts next month, I don't know, but I'll keep a look out for them. I don't think so, since they announced it themselves, as a "treat" for Gold members.

You're right! I just went there and found it. Thank you for the heads up~
It's kind of a shock move but I guess they would do anything to pick them up from the state they are in now.

Right now, they're at an even worse state than EA. And that's saying something. Sony's Conference at E3 pretty much built them a coffin, shoved them in it and buried it. The One will still sell, but not to the people the 360 was aimed at. I think they're just trying to get as far as they can with that crowd while it lasts.

I definitely think they're trying to make up for eventual losses. Regardless of the reason though, woo free stuff, right?

What do you mean by the 360 being nonexistent? (I may be getting terms confused.)

The are only giving out free games until the xbox one is released. Therefor it dos not match the offerings of ps+ ontop of that they are old games that most people that were interested in them already own.

As for the 360 going away it is possible considering they only supported the xbox 6 months into the 360's life cycle and 12 months for the halo servers. However they have stated that they will support the 360 and its seperate live servers aslong as sony does the same with the ps3.

As for the xbox one consider this if they continue this trend and stop its server support when they release there next xbox what happens to your games which could be in the hundreds by the 10 year life cycle consoles tend to have these days. Your system wouldnt be able to do its 24hr checks therefor as microsoft has stated your rental lisence on those 100 games would vanish and so would your games. Not to mention your system would be a glorified cable box that cant even play hard physical discs.

So even if you like there exclusives have perfect internet and dont mind drm. Ask yourself to you want to buy the console and halo 5 for example and 10 years down the line it be like your never bought either. While in the mean time all that support made nintendo and sony see that that really works and people will buy into it so they interne do them same next gen. Thus gameing as we know it dies. Just because people could not see what they were supporting.

This is pretty sweet. It's a shame (not really) that I already have Fable 3 and Halo 3.

I'm afraid they'll stop making 360 games all together, removing it as an active console.
