bloody hell windows 8 sucks knobs. At our school they gave us windows 8 on our windows 7 laptops and it doesn't bloody work!
sometimes the internet doesn't open, sometimes I want to throw it against a bloody wall. and the updates make it slower and worse to use. when I got to uni I'm geting a windows 7 laptop.

anyone have any info about windows 8?
what is good about it?

Bartuc 01-11-2014 03:04 PM

I never upgrade if I don't have to. I have found that since Windows ME/2k. The entire OS sucks ass the first couple years. When they finally get all the bugs worked out, they bring out a new piece of shit for everyone to bitch at and hate.

=D

hummy 01-12-2014 02:05 PM

do they really?
why don't they bring out something good?

I guess system requirements as low as Win7.

Other than that? pfffft.

I actually like Win 8. It kinda reminds me of my smartphone or tablet. You know, how you have to swipe over to get to your apps and such. Pretty neat, in my opinion. I don't have the touch-screen computer, just a normal one, but 8 has been pretty nice.

OH! I recommend getting the updates (what is it... 8.1 or 8.2). It fixes some of the interface frustrations. I really think you just need to play around with it for a bit and get used to it. At first, it sucked, but now I'm pretty used to it.

It's right here hummy. It's awfully dead but only cause it never got many entries.

hummy 02-10-2014 08:21 AM

thank you
i forgot what i wanted to ask
i'm sure it will come to me

ISOS Duke 02-11-2014 02:50 PM

A co-worker of mine has it and I've only really heard him talk about it for a few minutes. After he figured out how to get his start bar on the screen, he's loved Windows 8 ever since. Unfortunately I don't use it and I was only eavesdropping on a conversation when I heard that.

hummy 02-11-2014 03:17 PM

thank for letting me know.
i'm getting better with it
but it is still so touchie!

The Wandering Poet 02-11-2014 06:08 PM

[cheer] Go hummy go

onsenmark 02-21-2014 08:23 AM

If windows 8 had two versions; one for tablets, and one for PCs, all would be right with the world.

That being said: Windows 8 isn't BAD, per se -- but it does take some getting used to.

I found an app that will bring back the old-school start menu, but I haven't installed it yet.

Lexadis 02-27-2014 05:42 AM

I have been using windows 8 for around a few weeks, and I love it! :D Once you watch the introductory videos its nothing - you can figure out and get used to everything in no time :) I especially like the touch screen interface, it's much more easier and faster than having to scroll and click :)

hummy 02-27-2014 06:04 AM

i haven't watched the tutorial, i guess i should [blush] thanks, Lexie!

The Wandering Poet 02-28-2014 06:05 AM

I never watch tutorials [ninja]

hummy 03-02-2014 07:59 PM

i don't either but this is so frustrating. i mean i have gotten better but there are still days i could just scram. it seems pressure sensitivity changes windows i really should watch the darn thing

Lexadis 03-02-2014 08:06 PM

:D It's just a matter of few minutes guys [illgetu]

hummy 03-02-2014 08:09 PM

yeah i know. i don't know what my problem is. i don't read instructions either [twitch]

The Wandering Poet 03-03-2014 06:55 AM

I find messing around for a few hours makes the few minute tutorial stick better if you're desperate.

hummy 03-05-2014 11:58 PM

i just keep procrastinating it
