Civilization V
 

Turn based strategy, historical tidbits, and general awesomeness. Just wondering who else has this, as Tam and I are always looking for new people to play with. We're not the best at it (hell, I'm really really bad at it, in fact), but it's a good deal of fun and...well..the more the merrier. Any takers?

My friend Gil and I play hotseat at college inbetween classes, I've found myself terribly in love with it, though Civ Revolution has given me better laughs, like the time Gandhi nuked me.

I have it on Steam. I want to say, the gold edition? Some expansions, but not all. I'll check and edit this soon if I remember.

^ What is up with Ghandi? He's a total psycho, man. I always get him as a neighbor and things are all swell between us until he shows up randomly and demands I attack one of my allies. After that it's turn after turn of insane threats. Dang. [lol]

Oh man. We should totally have a Mene Civ V game. That'd be fun.

Gandhi and Montezuma are two of the biggest scumbags of Civ V. Both of them either earn your trust or attempt to rid you from the moment they find out you exist. I hate it. Never trust em. Got screwed one game by Montezuma as I made of the mistake of getting too close to his territory and pissed him off. Fending him off once then going into peace time and disbanding my troops then getting screwed after the peace ends as he built a gigantic fucking army. And end game.

We totally should!

I know originally Ghandi was borked in some Civ games...don't remember which number. Apparently, they meant to set him as the most peaceful, but there was a way for it to become an impossible value, which made him the most hostile thing instead. Personally, I find it kind of amusing.

I'm up any time for a Civ V game.
