Gaming Memories

So I was strolling through the used games in gamestop the other day for a present for my best friend and I saw fable 2 and it brought back so many memories of when I used to play Fable on PC when I was younger. It was one of my favourite games, so I got Fable 2 and now I cant stop playing haha. Anyone have any good gaming memories?

This is totally going to date me, but the game I'm most nostalgic about is called Scepters it was a text based game. Graphics for an area consisted of just a picture and a text description and you had to type commands like "search" or "pick up the thing" if you wanted your character to do something and if you wanted to go in a direction you had to type "East" or "West". It was frustrating sometimes because if you didn't type a command in just the right way with the right phrasing it would be like "I don't understand what you want to do". Half the game was figuring out how to do what you wanted to do. I spent hours playing that game and I had a map created of all the areas and the things you found there. Never managed to beat it though because I couldn't figure out how to beat the air demon to get the last scepter and then our computer broke and the floppy disc that the game was on got lost.

I've got a couple good ones. Whether it was discovering the pits of despair in Pitfall (get it?), the excitement of new technology in the Kinect, or just the great get-togethers of Garage Band.

Just in general, the PS2 was something that I had fond memories with. :> I was a late bloomer in vidya games, so I only watched my brother play gameboy, dreamcast, etc. It was only until i got my own PS2 that I felt really immersed and in love with games. My favorite games from the PS2 is probably FFX. Ahhhh, the memories! It was all I used to play.

I have a few fun memories from when one of my friends and I used to play random shit on her PS2, but we didn't have a memory card. We basically had to marathon them for as long as we could. We didn't take any of the games seriously, so we spent the whole time cracking jokes and poking fun. Still puts a smile on my face when I think back on it.

The best memories for me would be whenever I play online with friends. Even if we fail at whatever it is we were doing, we still have fun. [:B]

I've been playing alot of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and since I'm not very good at the game [sweat] it always helps to have fun and easy going friends who don't care so much about winning all the time lol

Mario Party on N64. I know. But it's the few times where my siblings and I actually all had fun together on games. There's also Smash as well but I want to focus more on the purely fun aspect.

It tore us together and apart but it was still a fun game for us to play. I think that Mario Party to me will always have a special place in my heart. It's one of the few Nintendo franchises that I will always love.

So many memories. I remember playing Pacman and Mario on arcade machines. Later when I got an NES, Super Mario Bros 3 was pretty much a family thing. Also Space Invaders at my dentist's office. Charmander was my original Pokemon. Ocarina of Time was my first Zelda game. And Sonic 1, 2 & 3 and Road Rash at my aunt's house. Toe Jam & Earl at my best friend's house. Play Station, the original, gave me my first Final Fantasy (VII), PS2 gave me my first Harvest Moon (Save the Homeland), GameCube gave me my first Animal Crossing and fighting game (Soul Caliber II). GuiodWars was my first MMO. I also played Flyff for a while.

But absolutely Mario on the arcade and SMB3 are my fondest gaming memories, with Animal Crossing and GuildWars right behind.
