The Sims

To anyone that plays this. This is a simple question. When you build a family, do you create your friends, family, enemies? Do you try to kill them by fire? Or just seal them in a room.

I get bored and normally make families based around my RP characters and people I know IRL. It's rather hilarious when I create someone I hate, and make them my families maid, making them live in a shack. This is why you don't give me power. [twisted]

In general? Nope.

I tended to set things on fire in TS2.

Don't get me started on Sim!toddlers...

(two words: babby roaster.)

I refuse to do anything involving kids... I did so in The Sims 1 and somehow, everyone ended up dead but the kid. She lasted a long time on her own, I was rather impressed but that was so boring. XD

I used to make my Sim clean the toilet in a ballgown, just because [ninja] Generally though, not that evil to them unless they'd persisted in doing stupid stuff that annoyed me ><

I always make a loner character among all my families. They tend to ALWAYS be my best character. The Sims 3 just helped make the loner character easier, especially if you put computer whiz on him and you can make him chat with someone(instead of waiting for someone to introduce themselves.).

My best character was in The Sims 1. He was a single guy, who I didn't put a single point into his stats. I thought he'd be hated and have no friends. He made it to the max of politics, had a huge house, everyone was his friends, he threw huge parties... and this was before I knew of any cheats. It was legit how I maxed everything, all his stats, friendship... I was proud of him. I make it a point to have one character/family that I actually play right, without cheats, to try for that same success again.

I usually put myself in whatever Sim neighborhood I'm playing. In my TS3 neighborhood, he's at the top of the video game programmer career; I'm thinking about having him quit and switch back to the Medical track(where he was originally) or go back to school for that second degree... eventually.

Also, as I type, he has six kids, most of them girls. I guarantee, one of them's gonna be a lolita. Only downside is, there really isn't a lot of lolita outfits for TS3... *sigh* My Google-fu is not strong.

(edited because oops! typo. also, added a bit of clarification.)

I did that once, Put me and my boyfriend at the time into it. It was actually hilarious. He set himself on fire, and he was watching me play at the time. I couldn't stop laughing.

I play TS3, but I don't put anyone I know.
xD

Hubby was playing a couple of weeks ago, and he created a father-daughter family, with the daughter being a rebel.
So, one day, the father decided to ground the daughter...AND KEPT DOING SO.
So, hubby got mad and sealed the father in a room, where he made tons of phone calls and eventually starved to death.
Later the daughter was stuck sneaking around, and died from electrocuting herself trying to fix the fridge.
xD

Now he controls some NPCs, that are pretty whacko.
xDD

My current game is going solid. My loner has been writing books like crazy and has 10 of them out, makes good money every week and is now working on his Guitar skill. :3

... my twin teen sims is trying to complete Sims 3 World Adventures, which are the tombs, relics collection and skills.

I haven't played much Sims since TS2, but when I did I would almost always would try and make couples, usually for books series I was reading. I'd pay more attention to the couple aspects than the killing.
Though one of my friends who plays TS3 would always kill her characters. She played a game once where you made three seems and locked them in separate rooms, one died by drown, one by fire, and one by starving. We were testing to see which took the least amount of time, and which the longest.

lol. Sims, the realm of killing simulation.

KisaraKitsune 10-11-2014 05:52 AM

You know what, I actually try to keep them alive. I really do! I think I'm one of the few that tries to play as legit as possible and not cheat. I will admit, I cheat frequently but at least as far as the killing goes, It's normally not my fault. I teach them cooking... They still burn the house down!

ultraviolent 10-13-2014 04:48 AM

I used cheats to let the babies sit for three days so I wouldn't have to care for them much lol or I'd just age them right away. Then I teach the toddlers their skills and age them. Typically I skip right over child age. With TS3 and the Generations EP there's more to do with children so I can either play them or ship them off to boarding school.

I have a tendency to make a lot of families and they're all just random sims. I like to use cheats for their needs but often I try to do it on my own. The first time I ever played TS2 I had a couple with one child, a premade family, and the mom gave birth to twins. (Or maybe she had two and then had twins? Idk) but I couldn't do it and didn't know of cheats so the social worker came and took all but one child.

KisaraKitsune 10-14-2014 12:31 AM

I use cheats when I'm bored, but as I said, only with certain families. Normally when I do a family not random people who I screw around with. I tend to have a mother, father, young adult either son or daughter depending on my mood, and two children. I'm actually pretty good with families, and only when I first had a family in TS1, did I ever lose kids to social services.

I created myself, my boyfriend and my cat Taz. Though I used to avidly make my favorite video games characters.
