Its been said that Silent Hills will be released in 2016.. I'm hoping its true that its the first quarter rather than having to wait until October.

Anyone who has seen or played the P.T. and watched the concept movie.. what do you think the game is going to be about, or what, if any, signifigance the title will have to the game's story.

I've recently played through the games again for nostalgia's sake, and there some angles or off the path comments/scenes that could tie into what we've seen already, if anything of the P.T. is to be tied to the game.

Anyone else's thoughts on this? o3o

I haven't really read any fan theories, but I will assume that my thoughts aren't original.

Silent Hill is a place that draws in people with guilt and creates hellish realities for them. As was the case with James and Alex and Murphy. Harry and Heather got mixed up with the Order and their dealings. Alex too, along with his guilt. And Travis also, who was pulled in by Alessa. Henry was just a poor sap who lived in the wrong apartment. ;D

But what I take Silent HillS, plural, to mean, is there being a bunch of these worlds, these hellish realities that have been crafted for people with guilt or those have done wrong.

In SH2, they (James, Angela, Eddie and Laura) were all moving through the same town and able to interact with each other, but seeing different things. That's why Laura stayed safe. She didn't possess that darkness, so it was just a normal town to her. (Or you can believe the theories that Laura was a just product of James' guilt. ) --- Toward the end though, James gets to see into Angela's world for a moment, where everything's engulfed in flames.

So I think Silent Hills will expand on that idea of moving through other peoples worlds. The protagonst, the Norman Reedus character, will not only be able to explore these other realities, I think, but also be able to step into place of the people they were made for.

My theory is P.T. was an example of that. You start off in the tally room, which I take to be an intermediate place. A sort of nothingness that leads to these other worlds. And then you step into the hell of a man who killed his wife and her baby. -- I think the radio story, of the man who murdered his wife, son, daughter and unborn child is a totally separate guy. It's just there to highlight the idea of murderous fathers. -- What you play is a man who's an alcoholic and an abusive husband. He gets fired and his wife has to get a job. She does so, has an affair with her boss and gets pregnant. After the child is born, the husband finds out, kills the baby and stuffs it in the fridge. Then he murders the wife in the bathtub.

I love me some Silent Hill, so i've thought about this quite a bit.
