Heroes of the Storm
 

Is anyone playing this game? I've tried a few characters so far and bought the beginners set of heroes. Still not sure if I like it or if I just like the idea of heroes from different universes of Blizzard games brawling.

I'm also currently a prema-bad at this thing. My matches are like ... horrible. And against the AI. XD As much as I want to play with a team I'm almost positive I'll mess things up for them. XD

I like Zagara, Valla, and Malfurian. I haven't found a warrior I really enjoy yet. Which is unusual because I normally gravitate toward Warrior/Barb classes.[=3]

Valla is very over powered!

I've been playing this game a lot recently with the boyf and friends. I'm all over the place in terms of which heroes I like to play as, but I bought the butcher with coins when he dropped down to 10000 and I have to say, he is a blast to play as! Especially with the auto-attack build and using his Lambs to the Slaughter ultimate ability. [yes]

I still have that installed though I don't play it anymore. I think my favorite was that girl with the sniper rifle.

I'd be up for making a player vs AI team :D

Players vs. AIs is pretty fun, but I recently started moving into the PvP matches... real scary, because players aren't predictable like AIs are. :(

I'm not nearly ready enough to do player vs player. I still need to buy the sniper girl. I'm like 1300 gold away too.

Saving up gold just takes so long. ;o; Luckily, I refuse to use my own money to buy anything that I can get for free. :p

Same here. Though I think the only hero I've bought is Valla. That archer girl. I needed one hero to own so that I could work toward a new one to focus on. After that I'll probably buy all the cheap ones.

Yeah, Nova (the sniper girl) is pretty expensive, if I remember correctly. :u

Nova, yeah her. she is 10k. I have 8.7k so maybe in a week I'll be able to get back to relearning her. I took a bit of a hiatus since I had nobody to play with.

Nova though I found I had a very high kill vs death rate on her. I managed to get a freeplay of her for a week at one time. I love ranged characters in games like this.

If I knew how adding people worked I'd do that.

Edit - I went back and trialed her again and the playstyle I did was the slow but hard hit with triple tap, makes her a pking machine.

What do you mean by adding people, like, which free characters you can use? The rotation changes every week. For example, the free characters this week are Muradin, Raynor, Arthas, Uther, Nazeebo, Jaina, and Kerrigan.

I mean adding the people on mene to play with them. Once I get nova (900 to go) I am going to want to try that

Congrats, homie! I'm saving up coins, but I don't know for who yet. I might save up for Leoric since he just came out.

Had to read some guides on how to properly play her though [lol]

Far from ready for PvP though, I'm getting 11 to 1 kill death ratio and I want to pick off that last death. from level 1-5 she's really vulnerable and I always end up with a death trying to make a kill.

People in PvAI also never seem to talk... do they talk more in PvP?

The more I play Nova the more I understand why people are terrified of Nova.

Nah, there isn't much talking in general, which is probably for the best. A lot of communication happens when someone pings the map; It lets you know clearly what your teammates want to do.. I think nova has the same dealy as the butcher; he's really pretty bad until you're full up on his unique collectibles. It's hard to PK when you've got no fresh meat to boost your attack %. ;-;

I have noticed a couple people are talkers. If you ask, like the demon/angel map they were nice enough to explain it. It's interesting the people are so much more polite than in LoL or DotA.

Fresh meat? I'm not too familiar with butcher. Though, usually I just kill him and move on. Same thing with the murky guy, he's like 2 shots... what exactly is the point of murky?

What do you mean by unique collectables?

Murky is really hard to keep dead because he drops an egg on the map that he can respawn almost instantly at. I honestly have no idea what makes him good besides that; I 've never played murky. :u

By unique collectibles, I mean the Butcher's Trait. His trait is:

Maybe it keeps him on the battlefield but if you're not useful to start that doesn't really help.

Oh I see. So killing him early and often is probably good to do to keep his attack down.

Butcher is all about burst. He's also really good at taking down low health opponents because his second ultimate ability can chain people to a post, wherein they're damaged heavily and cannot leave the post for 4 seconds. :U

Wow, that sounds pretty painful. Worse than the abomination.

I think the characters I fear the most though are the guys with so dang much hp they never lose enough hp to burst down.

Well yeah, that's kind of the point of those characters. :P They're supposed to be warriors that are hard to take down by yourself.

Which class/character do you usually pick?

I like playing all the classes, but I enjoy playing assassin the most. I played E.T.C. a lot up until I got the Butcher. [yes] What about you? :o
