I would love to find a good MMO to play. :/ I had to stop WoW because it got super expensive, and a lot of the free MMOs don't really hold my interest when compared to WoW.

I ended up buying Shroud of the Avatar. It's not done but it's a buy once and done. How games should be. (Another reason I wont buy the bank)

Alright, now we're getting a bit off topic. :P Time to get back to pokemon. I'd be down for an official Pokemon MMO, but Nintendo would probably NEVER sign off on it.

I've seen a lot of pokemon MMOs over the years... they've never ended up looking that good. There's so many variables that complicate things.

Maybe. But I think the concern is the way people treat MMOs. It becomes less of an experience and more of a poke-grab-fest.

Then you get into the complexities of the opposing factions. You would have to make them grow over time or players would just dominate them. That or give players the option to be the bullies which I don't think they would like to do. Plus the concept of stealing pokemon would heavily encourage hackers and the like.

Then we get to legendaries where it gets worse. Eventually tons of people would have legendaries, which there are only supposed to be 1 of. The only way I could see that working is if you only had said legendary for X amount of time before it escaped... at which point why bother? Unless of course they were as powerful as "legends" said they were.

Hmm, yeah, I can see how it could go wrong catastrophically. [lol]

It's a terribly delicate balance, and pokemon go was... well... was. That one didn't end so well and that was a good concept.

Is anyone planning on getting the new games in November?

Probably won't... I barely got anyone to play sun and moon with me :/

Jellywish - you know anything about cleaning the old 90s cartridges? I bought a bunch for my gameboy but pokemon blue is filthy.

I still have pokemon blue. The gameboy is a bit unreliable though. And i don't seem to find new batteries. Also I'm too lazy to go buy some. But even then, the gameboy doesn't always turn on. :/

I could certainly help you with the battery thing. I have a lot of them.
I know the exact battery for all of those red/blue/yellow cartridges, as well as how to replace them.

Well the issue was the sort of mess. It's got tons of dead bugs inside of it and it's absolutely filthy.

I've tried that. But it's very dried onto the metal on it. I don't know of any special solutions I can use or if there's some way to dismantle the card so I can clean under everything.

I was hearing that the switch breaks kinda easily. I dunno I'll probably not get one.
