I filled my national dex to complete it in game and now I'm just gathering the pokemon I don't have. My goal is to get most if not all of one of every pokemon.
I wasn't too sure about the bank when it came out but now I'm a huge fan. It's a great way to organize and have my collection all in one place.
I need to check how much time I have left till I have to renew the pokemon bank again. I think I need to renew that soon.
I think I have about 40 some days left. It's hard to believe I've almost had it for a year already...
How much does it cost for a year?
It's 4.99 for about a year. Being that cheap really I wish I could pay for more at once and then not have to worry about it for awhile.
Wow... that's it?
Yep, that's it!
I may have to consider it... though it's only used to transfer between games right?
You can use it as a tool to transfer between games or you can keep you pokemon collection in the bank. It has some really nifty search features to be able to find pokemon via specific criteria and it has 100 boxes which is way more than what any of the games will hold.
So does that mean that the pokedex is combined now? Or can you only add pokemon that already exist in the pokedex?
The bank is just a holding spot for your pokemon. If you want those pokemon in your bank to be registered in the pokedex you have to transfer them over to the game. You can always move them back to the bank afterwards though.
I mean, I remember when Charmander and them were 1-9, but last I saw they were nolonger 1-9. Can they still be added to the game? Do they have a new number perhaps?
Oh, maybe you don't have the national pokedex? When you start out the game you start out with the pokedex of that region only. After you beat the elite 4 you get the national pokedex which includes all the pokemon so I think in that one Charmander should have it's usual number.
I see... so they have a national number and a normal number?
Like the national number is the normal number... Think about it like generation 1 is pokemon numbers 1-150, generation 2 is really like 151-250 but when you start playing the generation 2 game and don't have the national pokedex, the first pokemon of generation 2 will start out as pokemon 1 and so forth until you beat the game and get the national dex.
Oh I see. That's pretty cool. So it means you can still collect all of them owo
Yep! Once you beat the game it unlocks the national dex and you will start finding other pokemon in the wild that weren't there before so you can try to catch them all. There's also the global trading system so if there are pokemon that you can't get in your version and you don't have any friends with the opposite version to trade with, you can trade online to get what you need.
Wait... the game starts sharing the national pokemon afterwards?!
Like... does that mean a charmander or something could show up? |
Like when you start the game, you can catch the pokemon from the generation you are playing, and maybe some of the ones from past generations, but not all of them. In the recent games, once you beat the game and unlock the national pokedex, you will start encountering some pokemon from other generations that weren't previously available in the wild.
That's really cool. I just wish they would make a game that allowed all pokemon (including starters) to be found in the wild
It isn't really that hard to get the other starters from the global trade system usually though! You should give it a try!
I will have to sometime, though currently I don't own one. Probably going to wait until sun/moon
So, there apparently was a video released showing some more new pokemon abd I have to say some of them are pretty darn odd looking. The are a few that sound interesting type wise though. R
I don't think theres been a English version of the video released yet though. |
Do you have the link for the video?
