Avast talks? Flink should download it just for that. It'll be awesome. Then she'll have a reason to talk to her computer. <.<

I find it funny how people go to computer techs and ask them to fix a computer.....they left at home. Or tell them that it's messed up and they'll be back on another do to pick it up. (Leaving out what is wrong to so that they know it's not working.)

Yea, Flink's seen that happen a lot. They brought computers to her maintenance class and just said, "It's broken." Then left.

One teacher brought his computer in and simply told everyone it was eating his floppy disks. Apparently there was a little gap right under the place where you put the floppy disks in and he'd been putting them in there. When the computer was opened there was a pile of floppy disks inside the computer.

Another time someone brought in a computer that hadn't been cleaned in YEARS. The whole class was joking that this huge mass of dust in one corner of it simply had to be alive, seriously. XD

Wood Sorrel, thank you for reminding Flink!

Flink added an entertainment section to her free stuff links. It includes art programs, free games, and anything else you can think of to tell Flink that would go under the header of 'free entertainment' on the Internet. ^-^

I just learned how to turn on a pc last year, hahaha.
I still don't know anything, which is why they've got those hotlines with the rude tech-support kids on the other end to wait for callers like me.
"How can we help you?"
"My internets isn't working."
"Is it the connection? Pull up your (big technical word)."
"I don't know what that means. Some lights are flashing."

Usually, it's something simple like pressing a button. Silly internets....

Actually, they're supposed to start with seeing if everything is plugged in correctly. XD

Since that's normally what the problem is. There used to be a video on YouTube, which Flink should add to the list now that she thinks about it, of a tech support guy who totally goes nuts on a customer. >.<

Flink can tell you about what 'grade' you'd be in, if you like. How old are you?

Flink doesn't get the class systems of other places either, so it's all good. And she wants a laptop also. ^-^

Since I spend like 80% of my day (often more) in front of a computer, I can't imagine life without them anymore.

you know, some weekends I have to force myself to totally take a vacation from my computer and being online. Sometimes, the drama of it all is just too much and I realize I haven't spent near enough time with my son and family and so I throw myself into that for a while. But then, I always come back to the internet and my friends here.

I COULD live without my computer ... but I'd drive my family and friends insane with my constant yammering.

My addiction to the internet and various avatar sites is far too big.
Sad, really, but since I'm confined to sit around at home for another half year and left all my friends behind after moving continents, this is kinda understandable I guess.

sounds super understandable to me! I know when I lived clear across country from my family when I was married and my ex-husband was off at boot camp, if I wasn't at work or sleeping, I was online. I require people and conversations ... which is really funny since I'm such an agoraphobe!!!

I pretty much live off my computer, on msn most hours of the day, yeah its quite an addiction I have there. But I have everything I need in my room so my pc just goes on in the background. Oh and lonewolf, that seems to be about the same age, normally turn 17 in 6th form in Uk.

I used to use this really cool thing called "rpg maker 2000"

I'm too busy to find the exact location of it now, but you can probally find it on google:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourc...e+Search&meta=

You can make really good birds-eye view rpg games really easily.

Why's everything have to COST stuff? Journals should be free. Seriously.

Do you have to pay something to start a journal IRL? No. You just grab some paper and a pen and start writing. Sure you can buy a journal IRL, but most people opt not to just buy the crappy ones they make already. Because you have to face it most of them are extremely ugly. "Oh, I think I'll write my personal feelings in something with leopard print."

Just no... Please gods no.

Leopard print annoys Flink.

And she's trying to think of links to add to the link list in the first post. <.<

I think that because journals are expensive here, nobody will care to use them. As you can see only a few people use them even though this forum is so active.

Eh, Flink prefers neither, to be honest. She likes them both for their particular strengths and dislikes them for their weaknesses.

She wants a Mac, to have aside from her PC because she hears it's so great for media work and art, really. She wants to test one out, just once. That and their designs are normally a lot more sleek and pleasing to the eye than those of most PCs. >.< You have to buy a nice PC case, normally seperate from your PC, which is sad.

And for journals, that reminds Flink. She was going to make a charity for them, or was thinking of it. XD

A charity would be nice, but difficult if you're saving up for Luciole art. XD Do you want to use the user event mule, It's a Secret for your charity?
