- So, SalamanderSoup got this for me for christmas, and I'm just now playing through it, and I LOVE IT. xDD
It's quirky weird, and Ulala is just adorable even though she dances like a slut sometimes. xDD

Aw, I love that game! I haven't played it in awhile, though...
I could never beat the last boss... Either because I sucked or because my controller does... It's hard. >w<;;

- I beat part one last night before I went to bed. I can't get past Report 4 in part two after rescuing Space Michael. xDD
Ho'mans, I just have to laugh after saying Space Michael because it was Michael Jackson. xDD

My friend has it and I saw him playing it. It's an excellent game ^^ So fun. I'm waiting to finish other games before doing it.

- Oh, I know of all the others. I just think it'd be nifty to own the first of the systems(Genesis, check!), and the last of the systems, as well as the first handheld system that even though it's fucking huge was he first to implement a backlit screen. I should look into what year that was and try to get a hold of the Nintendo Representative in my area and just say, "WTF? Sega had it down YEARS before Nintendo did. Were they twiddling their thumbs?" xDD
But that's going off topic.
Back to Space Channel 5, I've got my boyfriend to admit the game concept is cute, and that he'd love to see me dress like Ulala. xDD

- Ho'mans, I lawled so hard when I saw the figure that they were referring to as Space Michael actually did relatively look like Michael Jackson. I think the giggling was what made me fail the first time through that sequence. xDD

- I've made it to that point in the stage, but I always fail after Michael becomes somewhat interactive in the gameplay. I just can't hear what they're saying a lot of the time anymore. That's why I failed Pudding's Guitar Duel in part 2. I couldn't see what she was doing. D;

Space Channel 5 was in my opinion one of the most fun rhythm games I'd ever played. The colors were vivid and the songs were funky and upbeat. The characters were cute and the plot line (though simple) was enjoyable. I wish I could find this game again...

- As much as I hate to say it, check around GameStop/EB Games locations in your area(if you're in the States, even though I know they're all over the world). If there's one that you always find rare things at, I'm sure you could easily find it brand new, and the Special Edition that has parts 1 and 2 innit.
SalamanderSoup bought mine for me there, and it was brand new $10.
Plus, there's always their website, 'cause they pull things from the stores to sell online if needed.

I got it when it first came out. It came with the cool magnets and everything.

I beat that game so easily it was embarrassing... But I still love it to death. It's such a cute and original game.

- Duuuuuuuuude, I like, LOOOOOVE this game! My cousin introduced it to me when it was first on Dreamcast and I was instantly hooked (this was around the era where I was renting Bust a Groove for PS1 at Blockbuster) and I was such a dancegame freak!!
Then I saw something of a promo of it in the Josie and the Pussycats movie (in which I wanted EVERY SPC5 item that was shown there!). Afterwards, my friend Amy bought me the GameBoy Advance version of it for my birthday so I ended up playing it in class (and I STILL do, after so many years!)
Finally a couple of years ago, I bought my own copy of SPC5 Deluxe Edition for the Playstation 2. 'Round 40 bucks but well-appreciated. Needless to say I used the cheat codes for everything, especially automatic play just to get full percentage on SPC5 Part 2. I've collected everything -- all items and outfits, but what's buggin' me is that I don't have all the peeps in the index for SPC5: 1. I dunno where else I'm supposed to go, who else I'm supposed to rescue because I've played the game over and over and OVER again and I can't get everyone! Even with the Extra mode (which is pretty damn cool by the way). And yes I've played the game WITHOUT the cheats. I only let the computer play when I'm hella hella lazy.
I wanted to cosplay Ulala in my first year of high school for a Japanese class project, and I would've too but I didn't have the time or technology to do either. But hey, SPC5's cool nonetheless and remains the trademark game between my cousin and I. : ) (Pudding and Ulala respectively of course).
OMG...Space Michael Jackson. I can't believe he really voiced-over for it. How'd they get him to do it? And what of Japanese Space Michael then?

I wanted to cosplay Ulala too! She's so cool looking.
I'm pretty sure Micheal did the voice for it in Japanese too. He doesn't say much except "Thank you Ulala" and "OOO" and such...

-Ulala
best ripoff character i have seen!! and Sega knows they she is a ripoff of a real woman, who did not want her image used.
beside that. i love her.
-Do you have it?
yup.
DreamCast - American version
DreamCast - Japanese version *coughfriendcough*
Playstation 2 - American Special Edition, which means both the first and second are together.
-What you like/dislike about the game
Like - the simon says aspect of it. the costumes, the music especially. the dancing and Apollo Smile!
Dislike - Part2 is unique in giving it more ways for you to play besides shooting. but its also short, the first one you beat it once and you got to play a second half, which was cool, there was new characters and levels. Part 2 doesnt do that at all, it just replaces characters in the same scenes.
the PS2 version is a bit "jerky". DC was WAY ahead of it in graphics and speed.
