Game Story

FLYFF is a free MMORPG. You download the client (which is rather large) then play through that. It took me about five hours to download the client.

There are English servers, German servers and soon there will be French servers.

There are.. five servers. I think. I'll edit when I know for sure, and you can have three characters per server.

They recently released a new version of the game with a new class and revamped quest system and job quests, so some things are sort of mixed up. It's hard to find guides, but people in game are nice enough to help. Some unfortunately don't know how the new system works so bear with them.

Classes:
Mercenary-- Fighter class
Acrobat-- Ranged class
Magician-- Magic der
Assist-- Healers/buffers

Ari's review:
Server capacity: Not too bad. I've only experienced bad lag during really heavy hours. I've only been on the servers a couple times when they were classified as "busy". Each server also has four sections (3 normal, 1 PvP) that you can switch between with the same character and respawn in the same location.

Community: Fair. It's not overly crowded, most people seem nice. Most people will party if you ask. Higher up users will "buff" your characters for easier leveling if they are around.

Leveling: Fairly easy unless you are Full Support Assist. Then you needneedneed a party, but most people will beg you to party.

Quests: Easy peasy. For every level there are different mobs (duh) and the different mobs drop different special items. These items are used to complete different quests, most of which you'll get after you've outleveled said mobs. So hang on to them!

World: Small, but not too crowded. It's pretty easy to find your way around with a little exploring. You'll spend up to level 20 in one pretty secluded area. When you hit 20 you can start flying, and go to the other towns.

Overall: Enjoyable. I'm really liking this game thus far.

I wish I could play that game sooo bad. alot of my friends are on it. But i can't due to the fact that the computer I can download on is a Mac.

The game seems like it's still in its beginning stages. Hopefully it'll be available for Macs soon!

I wish you could play--now if probably the best time because it's not too popular yet. It might be too simple to really get too popular. It's very linear. But there are a lot of levels...

I'm playing World of warcraft right now instead...

I didn't like WoW. =\ Too many people, takes too long to level. Too much for me.

I didn't played for a year now. Going from monster to monster was kinda boring. All quest were based on killing monsters.
I was plaing a mage, with my friend who was an assist fighter. I began playing Guild wars and going back to Flyff was annoying. Well, it's a cute game and it's fun to fly, but that all. Even in farming type game, I saw better things

x3 I joined Flyff a few months ago-- I saw fanart for it and I was like, Aww, it's so cute!

But by the time I reached 20 and I started flying, I was tired of grinding through all the monsters. D'x I couldn't find any cute clothes to wear at my level, either. ._. So sad.

I like it because it's such a simple game. ^^; Things that are too complicated make my head boggle.

yeah, I reacher 36 and was really getting tired of this O.o Always the same thing, the same monster with different colors...

I really want to play, but the client is downloaded on my brother's gaming/media computer and he won't let me touch it. :x My computer can't handle such a big file. I am still a level 12 vagrant :(

I just looked it up, but I havnt downloaded it yet. I need to wait until school is finished...too many distractions XD

They just upgraded the game to a new version so there aren't any good guides out just yet. Well, there are but they are a little hard to find. The FLYFF forums are excellent, though, if you have any questions.

You can become an Assist and a Merc in Flaris, there are two trainers in East Flaris. To become and Acrobat you need to go to Darkon (Buy blinkwings from [magic] Marche) and Magicians go to Saint Morning (blinkwings also needed). To do the class change you need to perform certain tasks. Make sure to stock up on those rare drops from early mobs--you'll need them! If you're blinkwinging to the other towns, make sure to stock up so you can get back to Flaris to complete the quests then go back to your trainer.

i know of the pain you feel for that ish mah computer tho i love it so, their aren't enuff ports of games like this and others for mac so unfair

My friend has a private server where you get way better rewards on quests like 40 silver for the first quest you do and you level up WAY faster she she got 1000 experiance on one of the beginning quests too... I'd invite you to that server if you like. It's private so there are very very few people on it and you can only be on it by invite.

Well I don't have the game anymore. ^^; My brother had bought my account for me and when I stopped playing he took the CDs so he could use them. I have no idea why... he has like.. ten accounts. X__x;

I had to quit Flyff. Does anyone by chance play on the Glaphan server? I might be persauded to play a bit if i have company xD

edit: I'm calming down playing myself. >___>; I played for nearly twelve hours straight the other day.

It was fun for a while. I was also planning on continuing to level my mage, but honestly, it's not as fun now that they've changed the skill system around. Now people with higher levels will pwn no matter what, whereas one could level their skills to match a higher up.

LOL 12 hours? When I was my most addicted I would play around 10- 16 hour every single day. I think I got to around 70 in like 2 weeks while lvl a sta mage to lvl 40 at the same time. ;>.> Im WAY addicted to this darn game.
