The combat system is different from any other game, requiring some strategy/reflex. Basically, it's like higher quality anime Runescape, with entertaining mainstream quests with story cutscenes and NPCs that actually have character development. NPCs are one of the best things in this game, next to the fact that there's no set class/job. You can learn any skill for your race, and you can hybridize or specialize however you wish.

- The first thing that attracted me was that it had anime graphics, and was not purely based on combat. There are tons of clothes that NPCs sell for in-game money, and cash shop items can be bought from other players.

- It's definitely in my top favorite MMOs. Even if I quit, I will be drawn back eventually.
I tried Mabinogi a few years ago. Really liked their music system, that was quite neat. Also that you could play as a child and aged as you gained experience. And the cute pets. <3

I'm not playing anything major currently. Just finished the Walking Dead, which was great. I suppose I should stop playing Gates to Infinity on companion mode and work on the main storyline some more now. :)

OMG, Mabinogi. I haven't been on it in YEARS. I bet if I went back to it, I wouldn't know where to begin.

As far as what I'm playing? On PC, I guess Cityville, Florensia, Recettear once in a while. On 3DS, currently Tales of the Abyss. And on my tablet, I play a lot of Triple Town, and I've been getting back into Battleloot Adventure.

I'm playing Fallout 3 at the moment.
I don't really get all the hubbub about New Vegas being infinitely superior because both games have their ups and downs. So far I am liking the Capital Wasteland more than the Mojave, save for those Metro tunnels. Those are annoying.

Right now, I'm trying to get through Glory of Heracles, and then after that, I'm going to try and tackle Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume again; the last time I tried, I got stuck early on where I only had three people on my team compared to three times as much on the enemy side, and I kept getting killed because I didn't want to sacrifice my allies to gain power. In any case, once I at least beat Heracles, I'm going to try and offload them in late July/very early August(if possible) for a little extra money for Otakon.

I wish, however, that I could be one of those playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf right now, but I have to wait until I'm sure I can afford it...

Console-wise, I'm playing Animal Crossing for the nostalgia factor and starting up Chrono Trigger.
And on the PC, I continue to torture myself by playing League of Legends every day.

Oh my god, so I just started playing Chrono Trigger the other day since I missed out on it when I was younger due to not having a SNES. I'm in love.
My boyfriend is obsessed with it (has a full sleeve dedicated to it and everything), so I figured I'd give it a go to understand his adoration of it... and now I totally get it. I'm hooked.

That's actually one of the reasons I'm picking it back up again (and hopefully I have the same experience)!

I hope you do, too! I'm pretty excited that my finals are this week because summer break will be filled with this game when I'm not at work!

@The Wandering Poet how is the shin megami game? I have quite a few of those games, so I was wondering how the online one compared.

It's alright, but it's not fun when you have nobody to play with...

Lately I've been bouncing between The Sims 3 (as always) and Guild Wars 2.

My GW2 character is just a beast. It's pretty ridiculous. xD

I jumped back into Dragon Age: Origins again.
That and The Sims 3, now that Island Paradise was released!

My boyfriend and I rented Dead Space 3 a few days ago. It's due back Monday, but we only have the prologue and chapters 1-4 at 100% completion. D:

Also, I'm currently getting back into Animal Crossing: Wild World. Unfortunately, my wi-fi won't connect to my DS so I have no way to obtain the Nookington's upgrade.

I'm always playing Happy Street and Reign of Dragons on my iPod as well.

I have a current addiction to playing Plague Inc. on my phone. Killing the human race repeatedly is surprising fun. O.o

.... Minecraft 360...

I get bored quick, then want to play again. It's a strange cycle of my ADD and simple games. That's why I have other things going on too! :3

That's what I settled on as my favorite too. I switch between fire and water if I get bored. I think rogue is fun, but it's easier for me to solo as a mage (at least at low levels, my rogue is only level 7 or so). Turtle is my favorite pet so far, though the excitement factor of having a raccoon my height running after me is pretty great. :D

Ninja is definitely the better of the 2 version of rogue :)
My ninja is like lv 40 something... my mage should be in the 20s.

the 2 best pets are the turtle and the spitter (it heals you)
