These were the feedbacks I got from each platform:
Wii - graphics are not that great PS3 - you can't play your old PS2 games in it XB360 - best graphics; other than that, nothing much has changed from the earlier model I think I still prefer the XBox to the others. Graphics is my priority. |
I wouldn't consider buying a PS3 until the price drops and there are more Blu Ray films out. I think the PS3 has a lot of potential and the Wii and PS3 are both more than just a standard console.
I have no interest in the XBOX 360 whatsoever. I like the quirky party games and innovative style of the Wii, and I was blown away by the quality of blu ray and the game graphics of PS3 on a store display. It was almost hypnotic and gathering a small crowd! It will be one of the cheapest blu ray players and is more of an entertainment centre than just a console! Someone has yet to convince me that XBOX 360 is worth buying! |

The Wii is the only actual next generation material. Nothing else is innovative.

The Wii is certainly the best-looking and most compact console.
The 360 is almost as ugly as the original xbox. The PS3 is HUGE... It is more like an entertainment centre though so I just the size is reasonable. It just took me by surprise. The design of a console is actually pretty important to me. I'd rather have something sleek and stylish sitting under my TV. The Xbox lost last time and loses this gen too in that respect! The slimline version of the ps2 was the nicest last gen. The gamecube was nice in black but an awkward size and shape. It looked tacky in purple. |

When it was coming out, I read that the X-Box 360 would only play certain games from the regular X-Box. I'm not sure how that information played out through the whole release, though. |

Re: Wii, PS3 or Xbox360?
|
I like the Wii. It's awiisome. x__x;; Anyways, I like it because it's so interactive. Maybe the graphics aren't the best, but I still have fun. I have Zelda Twilight Princess and I couldn't stop playing that. I heard there is a Mario Party coming out for it and a Super Smash Bros., and Super Smash Bros. is my favorite game ;DDD So. I vote for Wii.

Sony fails, the 360 just annoys me and the Wii is just ace.
: D Although, I still think they should have kept the original name of "Nintendo Revoloution." "Wii" makes it sound like a piece of the male reproductive system. : / |
All three are amazing systems in their own right..
I'm obsessed with anything Nintendo, and I'm secretly in love with Sony The wii is a fantastic system, that had at least 2 great games ready to go when it was first released here: Zelda, and Trauma Center. Trauma Center does get repetative, but it is deffinatley worth the buy. That right there, made it worth buying on pre-order (for me anyway) when it was first released. And there Super Smash.. possibly the most kick ass game ever created. When I actually got to play the system, with the interactive controllers, it was a completely different experience than what I was used to, and although it did take some time to get into, was deffinately worth the money, and time, and its probably going to kick ass in this poll. With the XBOX360, not going to lie I boycotted the first one, and this one I didn't get until a few months before the PS3 and Wii were released. To be honest I'm glad I did. I only play a few of the 360 games for it, however the fact that it is backwards compatible for the original games for the first XBOX makes it worth the buy. The only thing I really hated, was all the buttons on that controller. Most of them seem unnecessary and it is almost daunting when you're trying to get used to the controller. After the first few games it isn't too bad.. but this is still my least favorite system out of the bunch, but so many people like Halo, which I hate so it probably has a better chance of winning than the PS3 I would love for the PS3 to win, but I just know it isn't. Not only did they severely sucks for waiting to release it, but they didn't release the system with any decent games. Oh yeah wait Madden football which sucked compaired to the '05 version, and Need for speed Carbon, which sucked compaired to Most wanted. The only good things it has going for it is the blue ray, and of course DMC and FF... which are the two major reasons I bought it. I've also been a sony fan for years, bought the first playstation, loved the ps2.. I'd like to see this one win, but.. everyone is going to go for the wii. Those are just my oppinions and my reasoning, but I think by the end of this year the PS3 is going to kick the wii's ass, simply because of the titles that are going to finally be released for it. |
Wii.
It has better features ect. |
I have Wii and XBOX 360 and i like them both
Wii has cool features but 360 has better games D: |
I'm all about the 360(mostly because I haven't had a real chance to sit down and play the Wii much, but I admit it's probably far more advanced than either the 360 or PS3 due to it's interactive game play). I personally see Playstation as a sinking ship. They've lost their support from most of their games that used to be Sony exclusives(Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, etc). Also... It's kinda sad that you can buy a 360 and a Wii for the same price as it would take to buy ONE PS3. And to be honest, I'm not all that impressed with the PS3 in general.
The graphics are better than the ps2, yes, but not enough to make an honest difference. Besides, gaming is not about graphics, its about game play. Anyone who bases their love of a game on the way it looks really needs to rethink whether or not they're really a gamer at all, or someone who just wants to be showered with pretty things. I honestly get more enjoyment playing old rpgs than I do playing the new shiney ones. Why? Because most of the new ones are so over done and flashy, they try to cover up a weak storyline and awful game play(yes, I'm including Final Fantasy in this) with pure simple shiney stuff. And for anyone who says that the 360 hasn't come out with any big name or big label games needs to look at the one big thing that came out with it's release: Oblivion, the latest edition in the Elder Scrolls series, which has been one of the biggest rpg series of the decade. Overshadowed by Final Fantasy(why, I'll never know), but still rated among the top ten time and time again. They also have had Gears of War, Halo 3 is coming out for it and Halo has been argued to be one of the most popular games of all time in ANY genre. And now Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry and all those widely known games are coming out for the 360 as well. Now on to the Wii... I think its a fantastic idea and gods I wish I had the money to buy my own, I'd probably become horribly addicted... but I'm going to just put the money aside and wait for them to come out with Harvest Moon for the Wii. XD Yes, I got addicted to the simplest of games. I think honestly if you look at 'next gen' the Wii definitely gives the other two systems a run for their money. Why? Because it's working us up toward having in home virtual reality systems. Neither Sony nor Microsoft has managed to come up with anything quite so close to ground breaking. They focused on controllers and graphics and sound, whereas Nintendo focused on how they could honestly make their console different. Really honestly make it stand out. And for that, I think they should be applauded. |
I've played the Wii, Xbox-360, and the PS3 and honestly I prefer my playstation 2 over all of them.
The Wii was fun for a racing game I played but other then that it didn't seem like the fun factor was worth the money. Xbox (360 or not) would still take up way more room then I have for a game console and even though the PS3 controller thing was cool, I don't think its worth the extra money for the system. |
Wii. That's all I have to say. ^_^
|
:o I saw this exact same topic in Zantarni. xDD Anyways, I'd say Wii..it's just plain awesome. And it has fun games. =D <333

I have a Wii and an Xbox 360. I don't like the PS3 because it's to big and bulky, not that it matters to the game, but, I don't like it. It's really expensive, and they don't even have any got games out for it. The 360's graphics are very good, and I like a lot of the games for it like Gears of War, and Lost Planet. Those were some really good games. And with the Wii, it's a little fustrating with the wand sometimes not being caught on the censor, but other then that, it's a pretty fun system. And it has a lot of good games for it. I loved Zelda, and Red Steel. :)

I have not had the pleasure of playing all of the new systems apart from the Wii. From the discussions my friends had had, I guess that they don't see too much of a difference gameplay-wise in the PS3 and Xbox 360, but have seen notable (obviously) differences Wii-wise.
|
Actually, I'm in favour of all of them, The graphics for the 360 are just amazing, so is the processing power of the PS3, plus it's the cheapest blu ray on the market atm, so that's always a plus, and ther Wii is fun for all ages, abilities and the titles are expanding so it will soon cover all sorts of gaming interests.
BUT I hate the size of the 360 and the PS3 cos I haven't got much space as it is. And I don't really like the shape of the xbox controller. What really upsets me is the control of the PS3, not only does the wireless controller not vibrate, but it eats up powerr like there's no tomorrow and I'm never sure if I should be waving it or using the analog stick. The Wiimote also uses up loads of power, and is sometimes hypersensitve, so you have to sit there, using spazzy movements to get thepointer on screen. |
