Favorite Video Game Characters
 

Who are your all time favorite video game characters? Also why do you like them and which games are they from.

1. Raquel Applegate (WA4) - She is a female tank character. Yet she is also a painter. She is searching for the last remaining beauty in a world that has been destroyed by war. As a child she recieved a wound that is slowly killing her.

2. Yuna (Final Fantasy X & X-2) - When I first played Final Fantasy C Yuna seemed to me to be a very strong character when it came to her will and determination. While she was a traditional white mage heroine I came to respect her more then her predecessors.

3. Chris Lightfellow (Suikoden 3) - This lady knight is one of the main characters of Suikoden 3. Her loyalitt to her contry is very impressive. Also I love seeing how she deals with the fact that she accidently killed a child that attacked her.

This answer should be very obvious for me. XD

1. Aeris (FF7) - She gave up her life for the world. Because of her, the world was saved twice over. She is a kind and cute character, and I'll be honest when I say that I idolize her. To do something so wonderful, especially when she saw how people were treating her earth. Aeris is my favorite character of all time.

2. KOS-MOS (Xenosaga) - An andriod.. I can't say all that I want about this character, because unlike Aeris dying, it's not as widely known. I love this character though, she's tough, yet there is a mysterious beauty to her.

3. Chris Lightfellow (Suikoden III) - Like you, I am really fond of this character. She is a strong woman, comanding her troop with her humble capability. It is not only her loyalty towards her country, but she comands respect. Plus, her quest to find her father was really touching, as was the scene with Yumi.

1. The King of all Cosmos (Katamari)- It's the King of All Cosmos. 'nuff said.

2. Beckett (Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines)- I screech like a fangirl whenever I get to talk to him in-game. He's a delight, honestly. That man's sense of humor when giving out insightful pieces of information are just too great.

3. Vincent (Silent Hill 3)- SO.CREEPY. I loved him. <3 I also loved how you never really knew what he was up to... aside from the hating of Claudia. He was so terribly delightful.

Favourite characters? Wow...there are a few.

Tira (Soul Calibur three) - I don't know what makes me adore this character so much but she sjust so creepy and evil, but also an obvious skitzo, it's amazing to play as her and her weapon is just so...kickass...and besides who wouldn't love a character who says 'I'll rip your heart out!'?

Agitha (Twilight Princess) - I know you're all probably looking at this and thinking 'what!?', especially if you've played the game and if you have, I ask if you've ever left her house without giving her the bug that you have on you? You see, I liked her quests, and for those of you who haven't played as her, she's a little girl who adores bugs and has invited them to her golden ball, and you have to collect them and find them a date. It's adorable...Anyway on to why I like her, I once forgot that I had a labybug with me, after giving her about four bugs, I turned to leave and as I left she growled and said, with that small writing 'I know you have bugs', and that struck me as awsome, she was so...evil and obsessive! After that I religiously looked for the bugs until I had everyone.

And I really don't have any more favourite characters that stand out to me right now...

1. Link (Legend of Zelda Series)- Why Link, you ask? Link has been around in the mid 1980's, and he's always been so super cool. XD Well, adult Link is pretty cute looking, too. xD Uhm, also, like, he always finds a way to save Zelda, which is insane, always saving her from some evil spellcaster. xD

2. Sora (Kingdom Heart's series)- Well, I just think Sora is super cool, I mean, he's dedicated to saving the world and his friends, and stuff. XD That's just super cool. :D I also think that the Keyblade that he has is super cool. xD It's very functional and upgradeble, and that's always good in any game. xD

3. Eirika (I don't know her name in the Japanese version, but Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones)- Hmm, well, I chose her because she is like, very strong and dedicated to her family. She adventured far away from her home looking for her brother (name eludes me now >.<), who was busy working on fighting the enemy. xD I like how she was so very brave and stuff, even though her bracelet was a major target for the bad guys. xD

Shadow (Sonic Adventure 2 Battle): I... honestly can't say why I like Shadow so much. Maybe because, at the time, he wasn't as annoying as Sonic and I ended up getting that attached feeling while playing as him. His death just made it worse. x] He's just so awesome.

He's the only one that comes to mind right now.

XD That's right, well, I was writing it yesterday, and I was having a bad memory day. xD I haven't actually played the game in a few months, so yeah. xD :shock: :( :o Hmm, but I think I remember another one. xD

I really like Gum from Jet Grind Radio/Jet Set Radio Future. xD She's super awesome, because she lets you know what's on her mind, and she's not one to take anything from any guy, and that's what makes her awesome. xD I like her outfits too, it's kind of bad that she wears dresses while rollerblading, though. xD

My current favorite videogame character is Kasumi off of the Dead Or Alive series. My other favorite is Miku off of the Fatal Frame seriies.

The King of all Cosmos from We Love Katamari, because he is really fit 8) And eh, I just love him <3, what is there not to love?

Apart from that I can;t think of anything right now, I used to idolize game characters a lot more when I was younger XD

1. Lu Xun (Dynasty Warriors), I was always fascinated by his backstory and how young he was. Plus, I always thought he was the best character, and maxed out all his stats first. I spent ages playing him, if not, the whole time.

2. Zelda (Legend of Zelda), I'm more partial to Zelda than Link in the series, as she's very mythical and serene - and in regards to the latest installment, Twilight Princess; I loved her cloaked scene. She just looked so amazing and illustrious.

3. Super Mario (Mario series), he's a plumber, who is also a part time hero. Enough said. 8)

I whole-heartedly agree, except Eirika. I found her a tad whiny and weak, letting her emotions get in the way of slaying Lyon (third-playthrough on the last chapter right now, right before the gauntlet with all the Grado Generals and then, unltimatley the Demon King) The name that eludes you is Ephraim with the Solar Bracelet, and Eirika possesses the Lunar Bracelet.
Anywho, if you played your supports, you'd see Joshua as the strongest-most emotional character.
He left his country, the prince, in order to pursue freedom and dreams. He ended up slaying his best child-hood friend who had slain his mom moments before his arrival home. He has true strength, emotion, courage, and passion. That sequence almost made me cry :(

I have to say I agree with you on the Erika part, and o! I've only ever had one support conversation with Joshua.

I actually preferred, oh damn, I've forgotten his name D:, Garcia's son.

Adult Link(Ocarina of Time)- He's so cute! He's incredibly strong!(love the way he can pick up those castle pillars with very little trouble) He's everything a hero should be!

Setzer(Final Fantasy 3 Snes) I love the gambler thing! I'm addicted to slot machines. not to mention that he was always my strongest character and he's not to bad looking.

Sanjuro(.Hack game series) He was cute, powerful, and had that bad boy kind of aura about him. Plus i loved the adorable scruffy voice he had(forget the voice actor)

Endrance(.hack G.U. game series) He's extremely handsome, he's extremely powerful, and he's extremely dedicated to whatevfer his heart deems worthy. PLus his voice actor is kind of sexy.(and it totally creeps out all of my friends)

Yuri (Shadow Hearts & Shadow Hearts: Covenant)--they call him the "rude hero" at the beginning of the game, until you get to name him, and you can see how he's rude and uncouth all throughout the game--and yet he's still totally loveable.

Shania (Shadow Hearts: From the New World)--she's one of those rare female characters who's bent on revenge; I like both her design and how she develops in the game, slowly realizing there's things other than revenge (although still kind of fixated on revenge).

Hilda (Shadow Hearts: From the New World)--she's a vampire with split personalities. And bodies. She's just hilarious.

Yes, yes...so true. I like that he was always that way, even during parts of Covenant. He didn't do a sudden and unexpected turn around in personality, and them try to say something cheesy about it being "character development." No, he developed without changing his personality around so drastically.

Mine?

Guy in Tales of the Abyss.
He was a loyal friend, with a lot of courage and patience. He has to deal with a lot of past pains, and he even plots revenge but he doesn't go through with it.

Calintz in Magna Carta: The Phantom of Avalanche.
My reasoning for this is silly. He pulls out the most obnoxious reasons for why no one can touch him but he's sarcastic and loyal (oddly enough). Loyal to Estell, I should say. XD I can't go to into detail, but he's not who he appears to be, but no one is in that game.

Beramode in The War of Genesis III Parts II (mostly, apparently he is in Part I).
I um, can relate to him. People mistake Beramode as a woman all the time, because they see Hyung-Tae Kim's art but know nothing of the story. I can't find the game or play it, but I know a lot about it. XD I won't go into the reasons I can relate though.

Leon S. Kennedy-(Resident Evil 2, 4) Perhaps my top favourite leading character! Not only is Leon handsome, but this feller knows how to use a gun! He was this geeky, innocent little guy in Resident Evil 2. He was fresh out of the Police Academy and came the wrong day to Raccoon City. He makes it throughout the game and we seem him a few years later in Resident Evil 4 as an absolute hunk! He's now a government agent sent to find the President's daughter in some unnamed Spanish pueblo. He figures out that the people are infected with--guess what?--parasites. Anyhow, Leon rocks and his weapon and combat abilities in this game are awesome!

James Sunderland-(Silent Hill 2)James, perhaps the most tormented video game character of all time. His wife died three years ago of a mysterious disease and he finds her note addressed to him that she's waiting for James in their "special place" in Silent Hill. What James Sunderland goes through in this game could crush anyone that didn't have a goal like he did. He wanted to find his beloved Mary and he didn't care if he had to go through Hell and back to get her. James Sunderland is no extraordinary man, he's as normal as can be and that's what I like about him.

Roxas from Kingdom Hearts 2... I hated that he had to merge with Sora. Roxas was more likeable.

He's from Kingdom Hearts! I love his carefree but determined attitude and his pure heart. I also like how he's so silly and competitive when he fights Riku.

Not the Riku from Kingdom Hearts (Although I kind of like him because he looks so cool) but the Rikku from Final Fantasy! She's so pretty and I love her eyes. She's a silly character too and I love her attacks in Final Fantasy X.

I can't think of anymore at the moment tho. :<

I love all Kindgom Hearts characters, a few Disgaea characters, Vicki from Portal Runner, and most of the chicks in Final Fantasy games. <3

My top three are:

1. Auron from Final fantasy X. He's by far the coolest dead guy around. ^^

2. Lyn from Fire emblem. She's pretty, strong, smart, and nice. She's like the perfect woman...

3. Hmm..This is a tough one..Number three..*thinks* Ummm.. Etna from Disgaea: Hour of darkness. She's dark, crazy, funny, strong, and overall an evil character. ^^

Sephiroth-Brutal killer with a big ass sword. Definetly gotta be there.[Final Fantasy 7]

Kratos-once again brutal killer but with swords attached by chains? INSANE![god of war]

Kairi-She got a kickass keyblade in Kingdom Hearts 2[kingdom hearts]

Master Chief-Awesome armor and who doesn't like looking like a badass?[Halo]

And I guess that's enough to name.

OH YEAH, And Yoshi-kickass dinosaur like dude who gets a firm smack on the head to stick out his tongue.
