I like to make my own desktop backgrounds of some of my favorite bands. My current one is a Paramore background I made.

I'm using the overglossed theme for Ubuntu right now with a Super Mario wallpaper ^^ I've got a small script that randomly changes my wallpaper though so that changes every few hours (most of the walls, including this one come from 4chan ^^;)

I DO change my background every couple of days, this just happens to be the most current one.

My desktop consists of zombies.

I have a District 9 background, but I can't re-find it on the net to show >_< It's black and splotched with red all over and has the alien writing on it

My desktop switches between my favorite Pic of my Girl. And between a Halo 3 picture. I dont even play Halo 3 anymore but it just looks so bad ass...:sarcasm:

I change my desktop often, and I also try not to keep too many icons on it. It makes my desktop look like a mess. I use fantasy, surreal art, screenshots from games, and sci-fi.

Also, I really need to get some add-ons. Your second screenshot looks so spiffy with all those gadgets on there. Lol, I'll that I've done was play around with the appearance of my desktop and add the cute bubble screensaver. Ooh, and I downloaded a custom kitty cursor. This thread has officially inspired me, so thank you for that. xD;

The gadgets = Windows Sidebar. It was closed in the first one, since it uses up a lot of the computer's memory. :\
