OMG FFXIII! ... FOR PS3 D:
[[sorry if a topic like this has already been made]]
Ok, so I'm searching for a pretty background for the computer when I see Final Fantasy XIII ones. Of course, I start getting all happy and look into it. I go to google and look for anything about it when I notice there is a trailer for FFXIII Versus. So I watch the trailer and I'm completely amazed. The graphics are fantastic and the main character is good looking and seems to have the disposition I like for my main characters ^^ And then this shows on the screen http://img480.imageshack.us/img480/8...tation3mj4.jpg My little heart breaks at the site of those words... Talk about: New games coming out for one of the new systems only Will you get the system to play new games? Is it irritating how gaming systems upgrade every few years, forcing the consumer to buy the product to get new games? Is the better equipment worth the money? |
I'm perfectly fine with the five year cycle of video game systems. That's plenty of time for developers to fully utilize the hardware and for the hardware makers to come up with new/better technology. I think things might get stale if it took too much longer for new systems to come out.
Now, will I buy a PS3 just for FXIII? No. The PS3 is just not worth the money. Will I buy a PS3 eventually? Probably, but that'll be a long time from now when it's in my price range. |

Oh, I have a Wii already. Twilight Princess, Smash Bros. Brawl, and being made by Nintendo totally make it worth its price tag.
I want a 360, but I don't have the money for it, either. Though I'd probably get a 360 before a PS3 because of the lower price point and the fact it has more games I want (Viva Pinata, the best version of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, the future Marvel MMO, Beautiful Katamari, etc...) |

I'd love to play XIII, but I know it won't be out on any other console for awhile, if ever. It's not online play (with the exception of a few features), so I doubt there'll be a PC version either. :( And I have NO desire to play a PS3. I don't have a high-def TV, so there's no point really. I guess I'll stick with my PS2 until they drop the price substantially.
There's hardly any information out on XIII either, which is kind of surprising. After I saw this thread yesterday, I did some research, but all I could find were a few screenshots (which did look amazing) and that's it. Boohiss! But I find it interesting there'll be two games related to XIII, and then an phone game. WHOA! FF on my phone. Crazy! |
I am SO looking forward to this game. The graphics and gameplay look AWESOME!!!
My brother has a PS3 - he couldn't stand it, had to get one as soon as he found one in the local used game store that was anywhere near affordable. He's happily playing DMC4 now. XD I told him he'd have to deal with me LIVING ON HIS COUCH when FF13 comes out. He's ok with that. As long as he gets to play it, too. XD - What worries me about 13, is that I hear it's going to be three seperate games, on three seperate platforms. Eeeks. I don't have a DS, and I doubt they're going to do any of them for PSP. That's a lot of money to spend!!! I do hope the phone part comes true - because then they have NO reason not to port FFVII: Before Crisis to phone for us. I wanna play with the Turks. :cry: |
I wouldn't buy a PS3 solely for XIII, but I definately plan on buying one.
Both XIII and XIII Versus look very promising. |
There's actually two FFXIIIs coming out. XIII and XIII Versus. If I were to get a P3 (maybe like in two years when the price dips) I would definitely buy them

There are three FFXIII not two, one is for the mobile, so most likely the psp? Or so I read.
I might buy the PS3 for KH3 and FFXIII with some other RPG games, but most likely I would get the Wii because it's so much better then the PS3. The XBox 360 and PS3 games have horrid loading screens that I can do my homework in. While as the Wii, practically has no loading screen at all, which I simply adore. But with the Wii, there aren't as many graphic pretty games as PS3 or the XBox 360, so that's a down side in my opinion. I dislike the XBox, the controller is too confusing. |
Yeah, I won't be getting a PS3 for quite some time... I'm a college student who needs to pay off loans once I get out >.>

I haven't seen one thing announced or out yet that sparks my interest in the PS3. I am not the FF junkie I used to be since the advent of the PS2, the series is just plummeting, IMHO.
The reason why I got Ring of Fates was because I adored the original FFCC and it was on DS, a system I all ready have. But that doesn't mean I'll snatch up Revenant Wings, because I severly dispised FFXII. The series is on it's way out, as is Sony's position as a major console at this rate. I doubt FFXIII alone is going to sell enough PS3s to keep Sony afloat. I'm starting to move to strictly handheld systems. I don't have to fight with anyone over a TV that way, I can play anywhere I want, and it's easier while taking care of a baby. |
Personally, I'm excited to see that Final Fantasy 13 is coming out for Playstation 3. Mainly because I'll finally have something to do with my damn PS3. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50.../grunny_xd.gif
All I've used the system for so far has been (in order of most to least):
lol, but yeah. I think that the jump to Playstation 3 is necessary. It's clear that they wanted the graphics in Final Fantasy 12 to be better, but the PS2 can only do so much. Especially with the low resolution the system runs at. |
this will defently put ps3 even more ahead of 360's with the release of this game xD
i really can't wait ^^ mainly because i can borrow a copy from work and play it with my boyfriend xD |
