@Hedjie: Thanks for posting, you made some great points. :3 I didn't really realize the connection with old to new, but I definitely see it now. You're right, they have captured the old school style of Sonic perfectly, something Sega hasn't been able to do in ages.

I too grew up with both of them, but the Genesis was the predominant console for my younger childhood years. I'm getting more optimistic about his addition to Brawl, though, I just hope they stay true to the course they've been going so far.

I hate to drop the bad news on you, but they just announced the date was pushed back until February 10th instead of the December 6th release date they announced previously. ^^; It's a pain, and I literally screamed "Nooooo!" when I found out, but they insist it's the only way to make the game great for years to come.

If it's for the good of the game, I can accept it, but it's a bummer to have to wait even longer now. At least now I can get it as a birthday gift for myself. XD

Yeah, I had difficulty with lots of the challenges. i rememebr my boyfriend and I sat and took it in turns to clear them. We were up all night XD

I absolutely can't wait for Smash brothers to come out, and I'm uspet they delayed it again - but I hope that means it'll be even more awesome. Man, I was really hoping to get that for Christmas, too. Sonic should be interesting, as will the other characters. I can't wait to see how this works on the Wii. >D

@sinbari: The nice thing about having it on the Wii is that you can still use the old gamecube controllers if you choose, or the Wii's nun-chuck/wiimote, or the classic controller. (At least that;s what I remember the site saying.)

I wonder if it'll fare well like its prequels....Heck, WHY am I saying that?! Of course it will! There's one thing I have to protest though....THE RELEASE DATE. It releases three days after my B-Day!!

I think I'm gonna get owned in Online mode even with my best character Peach. (They better have Tails though or my bro will be sad...)

I can't wait for this game to come out. It looks like fun. Haha. We can finally play the epic battle of Sonic VS. Mario. XD And Snake? o.o But... *laughs* I was just playing SSBM today. It makes me want this game even more. I can't wait to play it. ^.^

I'm not sure. XD I just reported things and helped direct a few people places, and then I got a PM. ^^ (I see a lot of other people do the same thing though, so I'm still quite surprised! :0)

@Moonlight_Abyss: That will make battles very interesting. XD They aren't the kind of characters you'd imagine to be in a game together.

@MissHannah: I'm certain I'll get pummeled if I play online. XD I'm bad at fighting games, and SSB is no exception. I practiced a lot on the old one until I was "okay" at playing, but ever since we lost it I have to button mash just to keep up. ^^;

Why am I doing this? because a review takes many words to make and on menewsha you get payed according to the length of posts. Also this may be of some use for some potential game buyers.

Recently I have purchased a wii. The major incentive for doing this was super smash bros. There are very little good games out for this system. My friend referred to the wii as "a dumping ground for crappy games". While this is mostly true smash bros. is one of the few good games out there.

The gameplay is like all of the other smash bros games that have come out within the past decade. It is a constantly fast paced (unless you use the item that slows down time) and action packed. This is always something good, but it tends to get boring and repetitive. As I type this I am hoping for a friend to come over and play it with me. With this game it is often more fun to get multiple people together to play at the same time. When you are stuck playing against the cpu you may find yourself unamused.

The sound and graphics are mediocre, but you cannot expect to much from the wii. During the Subspace Emissary there is many cutscenes, but no voice overs. Instead of speaking the characters often communicate with grunts and facial expressions. I like this, but you may not.

The characters... they are great. you have the classic 8 and then many more. Much of the new characters, such as zero suit samus and snake, are a great addition to the series. I do not like, however, that they removed some characters from the previous game. Mewtwo and Roy have been removed from the series. They were cool too dammit! ):

All and all smash bros. brawl is a decent game. I give it a 7/10.

I agree, melee and brawl need real people, or else it gets dull fast. Rivalries with friends over Melee/brawl are fun.

Haha, if you want gold, the fastest way is games and getting good at them. But posting can get you quite a lot if you have a lot of free time and you are active in good threads.

Smash Bros. is the shiznit! The need a brotha in there though to spice up the game. Is there a black nintendo star out there in the video game world? If they do not have one they should definitely create one and put the brotha in the next smash bros.
