Myst series :D
Has anyone else here played any of the games in the Myst series? They're still my favorites even though they stopped making them. =\ Damn the market.

I LOVED the Myst series. I remember when I first bought Myst I. I was still too young to be able to figure out the solutions to all the puzzles, but I seriously enjoyed the concept of first person perspective solving puzzles. I also played all the other Myst games, though I found Uru: Ages beyond Myst by far the most disappointing. It completely ruined the 'Myst feeling' by letting you design your own character and freely roam around. I liked Myst V, but the puzzles were too easy compared to the other parts. I liked the addition of having to draw on a tablet to fix certain puzzles though. I think my favourite in the series is still Myst IV: Revelation. I love Yeesha xD The environments you'd wind up in were just breathtaking :shock: The puzzles were of a good difficulty level too :D |

Let's chat! xD haha Seriously, though -- I'm a huge fan of games that are really hard, and make you think. I own all of the games in the Myst series, and URU is my all-time favorite! >< hahaha *big grin* |
I played the Myst games too~
They were very good x3 but back then when I was younger I was totally scared. ....but I can't remember anymore why XD |

My dad introduced the Myst seris to me when I was about 8. n_n
Ive been in love with it ever since. I love puzzle games, and the storylines are wonderful.... And the characters.. @[email protected] I was so pissed off at the brothers for sealing Catharine in the book in the first game |
I have the first three and want to buy the others. Myst was actually my first computer game. I completely fell in love with it and had to buy Riven and Exile when they came out. ^_^ I love strategy/puzzle games that actually make you think. Does anyone who has played this series have a recommendation for another series that’s like it? |

I remember playing that on my dad's OLD computer... So fun, so fun, and Riven...all those [email protected][email protected] I bought Exile for my PS2 and thought it was pretty damn amazing... But I remember when I was little and playing the original Myst, I would go to the misty-jungle-ish area and look for wookiees XD Definately one of my favorite genres. Has anyone here played Syberia? It's not first-person, but it's realy fun. |
I've played parts of it a long time ago, it was hard. That's pretty much all I can remember. That and the atmosphere of the game was almost eerie.

I played the first one a loooong time ago and loved it. I never played the others though, don't know why.
They stopped making them though? I read somewhere that a Myst Online was in the works. It may be out already, I haven't paid too much attention to the franchise. |
